Twisted Morning

About Me

Slug is the psytrance project of Liam Gibbs, an electronic music producer from Cape Town, South Africa. The Slug sound is powerful fusion of psytrance styles, offering a great cross-over between the twisted beats of the night, and the blissfull melodies of a daytime dancefloor.

Liam is also one half of the duo “Pitch Hikers” and co-owner of the Nexus Media record label together with Shift.

DJing psytrance since 1998, Liam began releasing his music internationally in 2003, and since then has built a dedicated following of trance lovers around the world. He has 2 solo albums to his credit, two collaboration albums as the “Pitch Hikers” project, and many individual tracks released on various compilations (see discography below).

He now plays regularly at festivals and clubs both at home and abroad, having played in Germany, Japan, Portugal, Israel, Austria, Brasil, the UK and more.

The new Slug album "Hard Wired" is now ready and will be released on Nexus Media in the coming months.
