About Me

Boredom kills me.To relieve my boredom i usually drink a beer or seven but now i try and do other stuff like go for a ride or a swim or something.I live near the best cake shop ever.If you want the name of it let me know otherwise i shall keep it a secret.My latest fancy is to chant.I don't belong to any religious team or anything its just something i do to keep me out of trouble.I also like to drink tea. I do Crosswords.I'm not too bad but i've noticed that the Sydney Morning Herald are making them harder.I like a challenge .I'd like to play drums in a band one of these days.I'm lazy.Gordon Ramsay rules my television, oh and Buffy or course.... Thats it for now.

May 2008 I listen to Vampire Weekend and Amy Winehouse....The National and Martin Craft and Spoon ...First three bands i were obsessed with were The Go-betweens,The Smiths and the Cure ..And: Halfway, Cheap Trick/Dream Police, My Morning Jacket/Z, Lee Scratch Perry,Nick Cave,Sinead O'Connor,Billy Bragg,Dinosaur Jnr,Calexico,Low,The Clash,Blake Babies,Tom Waits,The Lemonheads, Buffalo Tom,The Sunnyboys,The Liquor Giants,Crow,Mary-Lou Lord,Fugazi,Wilco,Midnight Oil,The 3D'S,Hunters and Collectors,Crow,The Orange Humble Band,The Posies,Urge Overkill,Tendrils,Pop Levi/TV on the Radio/Dusty Springfield,P.J Harvey,Smudge,Sneeze,Everything Half-A-Cow Records put out, The Honeys[Gone Away & Monster 7'].I've finally got my record player up and running so now i can play all my old vinyl including The Replacements/The Daisygrinders/The Hummingbirds/Husker Du/The Honeys/Tindersticks/Joy Division/New Order/Husker Du/Patti Smith/Rocket from The Crypt/Afghan Whigs/Nina Simone/Echo & The Bunnymen/Happy Hate Me Nots/The Go-Betweens/Springsteen/The Pixies/Stiff Little Fingers/Neil Young/X/The La's/Superchunk/Come......and on and on. Oh, but theres more - Cornelius,Cat Power, The Drones,Gillian Welch ,Pony Up,Fuzzy[perfect pop songs with not so perfect vocals.Perfect!!] ...........

Movies:

Napoleon Dynamite, Fargo,Secretary,The Shipping News,Donnie Darko, Lost in Translation, The Castle,Amelie,Zoolander,The 40 Year Old Virgin,High Fidelity,Dancer in the Dark[this movie killed me.Bjork was amazing]The Squid and the Whale. Clerks,Swingers,Trust.........I suggest people go and see 'Unfinished Sky'.I saw it last week at the Palace cinemas.It didnt captivate my attention when i saw the shorts for it but it is well worth seeing.Awesome!

Television:

Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasms,Blackbooks,Faulty Towers,Happy Days,The Young Ones,Faulty Towers,Buffy the Vampire Slayer,Spaced,The Sopranos,Family Guy....Good doco's,The Bill. When's the Bachelor coming back to FTA television.I never miss Deal or No Deal.

Books:

At the moment i'm reading "Absurdistan" by Peter Campbell. Alain De Botton books make me happy.
