About Me

Davide Rossi is a classically trained violinist and achieved the Diploma at the age of 22 at the Conservatorio â€˜G. Verdiâ€™ di Milano.Along with his formal studies he has also been a student of legendary guitarist Robert Fripp and of German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen.His passion for experimentation within classic, rock and pop music, pushed him to play, as well as his acoustic violin, a 7 strings electric violin and a 5 strings electric double bass viola.With these instruments he can cover the range of a whole string orchestra and this lead him to become one of the most avan garde string arranger in the pop - rock scene.Recently he has been working with Siouxie Sioux for her first solo album Mantaray and this year his work will be featured by artists such as Coldplay, RÃ¶yksopp and The Verve.Since the year 2000 he has been a member of Goldfrapp, with whom he has been touring ever since.
