Cripple Ewe Formed October 31, 2004
Cripple Ewe is a five-piece collection of musicians stemming from Chicago, Il. The original members of the band, Dave, Jay, and Jody, formed in 1995 as an obscure funk-rock band known as The Psychodelic Muppets. These founding members of the band would encounter many personnel changes through the years and worked with a total of four different lead vocalists. As the years went by their sound began to evolve into a funk-rock/metal form. The band would also go on to perform as Homebrew, Stabkbomb, and Paleface. In 2001, Paleface began to receive considerable recognition as they performed on Chicago's Fox Thing in the Morning and on Mancow's Morning Madhouse.
After years of writing and looking for the right personnel to work with, Dave, Jay, and Jody began jamming with Matt and Chad. The current members began playing together in 2004 and soon realized that the fusion of their different influences created a rather unique sound. Over the past two years, Cripple Ewe has spent a considerable amount of time writing and recording. Now that the demo and first full length album have been produced and duplicated, Cripple Ewe's main focus now lies in playing as many shows as possible to promote their music. Their main goal is to contribute a new, unique, exciting and dynamic sound to the music industry.
Inspired by bands such as As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Napalm Death, Refused, From Autumn to Ashes, Unearth, Darkest Hour, Dying Fetus, Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sysytem + Many More.
