Chicago Metalworks Radio is an Independent Internet Radio Station founded in 2003 as a hobby to amuse ourselves, but since then has grown into so much more. We are one of the fastest growing Metal stations around. We believe that the reason we have such a strong following is simple "We Are Not Part Of The Corporate Machine" and will always remain so, you will not hear any DJ plugging the shit out of some crap band cause he is getting paid or told to do so. We maintain our independence and play only what we think is good and that our listeners will like. And with over 23,000 requestable tracks ranging from todays harder rock right up to brutal death metal, we have something for everybody. The bottom line is that we are Metal Heads doing this for the cause of Metal! We don't make much for doing this, but it is our pleasure if we expose our listeners to new bands and keep the Metal Scene Strong !
We have some Record Label Support in the form promotional cd's and giveaways in exchange for website banner ads and spots. All promotional material we receive gets played and charted. We also encourage Independent Material because we know the the True Essence of Heavy Metal is in the Underground and if we can help give an Indie band some exposure it's our DUTY!
