Graciano Turricano

Graciano Turricano was early attracted by electronic sounds.
1988 being 8 years old he had his first contact to electronic sounds with a Commodore 64 Computer.
1990 he bought his first Audio CD "U96 - Das Boot". His mother, who studied music, taught him to play the piano about 3 years and at school "music" always belonged to his favourite subjects. So he had a final exam during his "Abitur".
1997 he began to create his own tracks on the PC under the name "The Vulcan". His first tracks can be classified as dance or trance.
1998 he found his new idol: Mauro Picotto ! When he saw him the first time in 1999 at the "Love Nation" (a party at the Loveparade in Berlin) he was very delighted by his set, because Mauro skilfully combined Trance with Progressive Techno. So also Graciano was getting more and more curious about how it would be to stand behind the turntables. So he bought his first deejay-equipment.
2000 he had his first appearance as a deejay at a small disco named "RIXS" in Trier at a Deejay-Contest. Some bookings followed and his love for Italy was getting bigger and bigger.
2001 he discovered the Naples-Techno which was introduced by Marco Carola, Gaetano Parisio, Rino Cerrone or Danilo Vigorito. His amount of records from "Bella Italia" was increasing rapidly and also his own tracks began to bear Italian titles. So his friends told him to alter his deejay-name into an Italian one. So the name "Graciano Turricano" arose.
2002 he built a DJ cooperation with DJ Kief. After the first gig more than 10 events were launched named Tekknoland
2003 his own radio show named "Tech Italia" was launched. It can be heard at 2deejays-Radio Berlin every second tuesday from 8:30 pm till 22:30 pm.
2004 Graciano moved for a foreign study to the country of his dreams - South Italy ! There he studied at University of Lecce, learnt more about the Italian way of life and improved his Italian skills. Some Italians said that he really became an "Italiano nel cuore" (which means "Italian in the heart"). During his stay in Italy he played also in an Italian club at Lecce. So one can say that the city of Lecce and the "Salento" became his second home.
His homepage, his radio show and the "Tech Italia" mixes ensured that a lot of people began to appreciate his sound. So connections to Frankfurt were established, where he played several times at the afterhour of the famous club U60311. Although Graciano is a student at the University of Trier (he studies geography of tourism) he tries to find the necessary time for his work as a deejay.
