My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who know how to quote silent film and look adorable doing so.

Music:

Jesus and Mary chain, Suede and Love and Rockets are three favorites. I am not into one genre but lean toward the chimey, lush and dreamy indie rock stuff.

Movies:

Saw, The House of Yes, The Following, Bartleby, Office space, Citizen Dog, Amelie, Dolls, Run Lola Run, Simon Brich, Northfork, Dream of an insomniac, Tokyo Fist, Danger Diobalik, Ghost Dog, Tampopo, Polax, Seventh Seal, Wings of Desire, Anything by Lynch or Takishi Miike! Anything with fast zombies. Anything with spies and explosions. Anything that is romantic and in French.

Television:

Not so much. South Park, Robot Chicken, Lost and Battlestar Galactica.

Books:

A long list of dead Russians, Cioran, Heidegger, Borges, Italo Calvino, Henry Miller, Rimbaud, Kahlil Gibran, Adorno, Perec, Eliade, Dante, Ovid, Milton, Goethe, Shakespeare, Kafka, Murakami, C.S. lewis, Dorothy Parker, Hugo, Bertrand Russel, Juana Inés de la Cruz, Herman Hess, Voltaire, Camus, Baudelaire, T.S Elliot, Auden, Blake, Beckett...too many. I also love dictionaries, word origins, instruction manuals, cautionary tales, children's literature, scriptures, religious texts in general and short essays on the human condition.

Heroes:

Anonymous poets.
