About Me

Sideshow was formed in early 2002 by long time friends Andreas Jonsson, Jens Thomsson and Mats Barbro. The band stated out as a power trio but was soon joined by bass player Andreas Nordkvist.
The boys had early taken the name Sideshow and it felt naturally, cause all they ever plays was sideshows.
After a number of local performances and a couple of own songs the boys, with help from David WikstrÃ¶m did there first demo.
The demo got the name "Punk Rock Youth" from one off the songs on the demo. And with a demo Sideshow got more and larger gigs. No it wasn't just the drunken members and 4 drunken people listening.
In 2004 Mats Barbo decided to leave the band and move on. So now it was a power trio once again.
After playing on one of Swedens larger festivals in 2005 "Augustibuller" Sideshow decided to bring in one more guitarist. And only one man was capable for the job: David WikstrÃ¶m. A long time friend and demo recorder had just finished a solo project and hade nothing musically going on at the time.
At the end of 2005 the band recorded another demo. With more new songs, more guitar power and no clue on what to make the result was very good.
But in eary 2006 David WikstrÃ¶m moved and letft Sideshow.
So Sideshow once again became a power trio. (Faith?).
After playing some shows in 2006 (Peace and Love amongs other).
Sideshow realy improved and turned to a more "rock sound".
During 2006 some new songs were made after that style/sound and
introduced a thrid demo "Beat Lonley Lady". Recorded in early 2007 at
New World Sound. Those songs are posterd at myspace right here.
