I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I enjoy Church, hiking, exercise, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi. One of my favorite daily indulgences is to have tea. I enjoy coffee with friends. I love daily prayers. I study tai chi and martial arts for enlightenment, self improvement, and fun. I enjoy books about traditional chinese medicine, nature, art, poetry, history, religion, and philosophies of life. For me, living is a lifelong learning adventure. I look forward to learning something new each day. I believe in the power of faith. I am a strong believer in living honestly from the heart. I believe in morality and ethical conduct. I believe that practice makes perfect and it is good to at least try to give your best effort. Minor imperfections are expected and real living is not about pretending to be perfect, but self-improvement over time to get closer to the ideals that you have set. I believe the choices that you make are your destiny. There is a heaven (the right choices) and there is a hell (the wrong choices). You have the power to create your own happiness or misery anytime that you want. I enjoy people who accept me the way that I am.I took the Superman quiz. Here are my results:
You are Superman Superman 100% Supergirl 95% Wonder Woman 85% Hulk 80% Green Lantern 75% Batman 70% Robin 70% The Flash 65% Spider-Man 60% Catwoman 50% Iron Man 50% You are mild-mannered, good,
strong and you love to help others.

My Interests

Tai Chi, Kung Fu, hiking, fitness, history, religion, travel, teas, coffees, reading. I want to improve in every way throughout my life as a daily progress toward my highest ideals. I would like to visit Canada, Ireland, Italy, and Greece. I enjoy different types of food and my favorites are Thai, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Indian, Japanese, German, Irish, Chinese, Polish, and Vietnamese. However, I refuse to be limited to those. I think American cuisine is great - New England clam chowder, grilled Alaskan salmon, gumbo, shrimp bisque, jambalaya, and all those yummy homegrown foods from Wisconsin.....need I say more. For the local places, I enjoy Sitar for dinner (definitely not the buffet lunch!) and Taste of Thai is very good. Calhoun's, Copper Cellar, and the Bonefish Grill are my other favorites. It is rather sad that there are not any good Vietnamese, Irish, and German places on this side of town, but you can't have everything!

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet quality people for friendship who share some of the same interests.

Music:

I enjoy a variety of music. I enjoy Celtic tunes, but I find beauty in many different musical styles. I like JMT, the Chieftains, Tao music (it helps to have it in the background at home), Ravi Shankar, Third Day, Loreena McKennit, Irish tunes, and chants for background music. I have found that Chinese, Italian, and Spanish music are very enjoyable to listen to. I still enjoy the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I keep my mind open for music. I refuse to be limited to a certain type.

Movies:

I enjoy Jet Li movies (Hero, Fearless). I liked Superman, Braveheart, Gladiator, 300, Rob Roy, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. There are lots of movies that I have enjoyed seeing over the years. Some classics that I enjoy include My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Miracle on 34th Street, and The Bells of Saint Mary's.

Television:

Not much of a TV fanatic. I enjoy the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel, documentaries, home improvement shows, food network, flip that house, and similar types of shows. I enjoy Smallville occasionally, but I have to be in the right mood for it.

Books:

So many books, such little time. The Bible, The Complete Sherlock Holmes, The Autobiography and Other Writings by Benjamin Franklin, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Book of Tea, The Way of Harmony, The Four Agreements, Living Buddha Living Christ, 1421, The Three Musketeers, and all kinds of other great books. I enjoy Agatha Christie mysteries and similar mystery books.

Heroes:

Our Creator, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Apostles, all the Saints, the Archangels, Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, Paramhansa Yogananda, and Blessed Mother Theresa. Grandmaster Sin The' for teaching us along with all of my teachers who have helped tremendously in this life. All of my friends who stand by me.
