Kiara Z aka Keyra's passion for music was born with her in the early 1980s, at a time when new sounds and musical styles were coming to the fore at a breathtaking pace. It was in 2003 that she started collaborating with a young and talented upcoming producer, her friend DJ Spy. She helped him write the lyrics of what was to become his first single for the Italian Kadabra Digital Wizard Records label, "Trouble". This project was met with such acclaim that it was included in no fewer than four compilations and played by many DJs from Miami to Amsterdam.
But it was in 2004 that Kiara Z. realised that she wanted to do more than writing: the KDW label asked for her voice in the spoken intro of the Kadabra 4 Compilation, which comprised the work of many international artists.
This led to her very first MC show in the Venetian club Night & Day, for the so-called May Day event, a special techno party led by the international DJ Igor S and his crew (Ricky Fobis, Lady Brian, Era Vulgaris, Spy, Carlo Bardini).
From there she went on to perform in many different clubs all over Italy, presenting such influential Italian deejays as Ricky Montanari, Chiara Robiony and Fabio Amoroso. At the same time she started working together with M2O Radio, the main national dance network.
In 2005 Kiara Z. was noticed by an “Italo-dance†producer: Roby Pinna, with whom she immediately started to work, in a fruitful collaboration which continues to this day. Their first album "Without a Word" written by both Roby Pinna and Kiara Z was sung by Paolo Cogorno - and by Keyra, Kiara Z’s new stage name. The track from NRG Records label was included the following year in two compilations, "The Braun MTV Eurochart Vol.2" and "Future Trance vol.36".
2006 was the year of another Roby Pinna Vs Keyra production: "My Dad is A Deejay", this time in 5 versions including "Resonator Rmx", by Fabio Amoroso and his crew, which was immediately broadcast on Radio M2O.
2006 was also the year that saw the reunion with Dj Spy: toiling hour after hour in "Bunker Studio" Kiara Z. and Spy created "Adrenaline", which was released as a 12" EP called "Electronic Experience Vol.001", for Richter, the record label of the famous DJ producer Mario Più.
Kiara Z. aka Keyra is constantly at work on new productions with a range of international producers.
She is currently the official voice for the following in-store radio stations: Motivi, Mazda, American Disco and for Alar's Recoding Music. Also starring in Key 21 (Italian version jingle) and front woman for Metal Mechanics band.
