Profile GeneratorIn November 2006, in the area of Montreal, we started Under The Grave. The line-up included : Olivier Dagenais, Mathieu Desjardins, Danny Desnoyers and Jean-Philipe Seguin.
After hours and hours of rehearsal, we came up with four originals songs that will define the sound of our band. The electrifying solos of Danny, the catchy riffs of guitars by Olivier, the melodic sound of Mathieu’s bass and the brutal beats by Jean-Philipe and his drum. It will make a mix of death, thrash and black metal that will totally blow your ears.
The only person we need to take the band further was a singer. Two months later, after spending most of our time on websites to find the perfect singer we finally found one, Maxime Daigneault. He can almost do every kind of screaming: the deep growl, a mid scream, a falsetto scream and some pig squeals.
Max didn’t take a long time to add vocals to the songs we made and we began practicing a lot to make our songs stronger. January 27th 2007 was the date of Under The Grave first show during the Exposure contest at the Club Soda in Montreal. The show was a success for us and we got tons of fans. This performance made us realized that peoples appreciate our music and that we have potential to go far. By this time, everyone took the band seriously and wanted to be known and recognize by peoples.
After our fifth show, Jean-Philipe left us to continue with his other band. With a lot of hard work in our quest to find a new drummer we ended up only one week later with the best, Anthony Savoia.
The line-up is here to stay and Under The Grave is a name that you’ll probably start to hear more and more because we are only between 16 and 18 years old and all we want to do in our life is music. Our band is young and already got a maturity that some others don’t.
