Wounded Knee

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 WOUNDED KNEE BiographyWounded Knee put together in the spring of 1994 as a cover band The good results convinced the band to develop its own musical style, with lyrics concernig most of all Native Americans, the name of the band takes place from a tragic famous massacre done by yankees in 1890. After some time and changes of line-up in 1997 was licensed the first album called 'Wounded Knee', produced by Pick-Up Records and distributed by 99th Floor, Rising Sun and Arise. In 1998 Joined the band Paolo Ferrarese who replace first singer Daniele Carboni. During those years the band plays several gig live in north and centre Italy playing also as opening acts for 'Banco del Mutuo Soccorso'. WK also recorded the cover of 'Phenomena', soundtrack of the homonymous film, and an unrelized song called The Dark Inside dedicate to the film Alien, for two compilations produced by Black Widow Records called 'E tu vivrai nel terrore' and 'Not of this earth'. After the contract recession with Pick-Up rec. the band released its second cd 'Heyoke' in 2001 this time produced by AB Records and distributed by Musea, Distribee and Near Dark . After the support tour to Heyoke the singer and keyboardist left the band and WK started many auditions to find a substitute, it was an hard work but in the end Simone Carabba joined the band and no keyboards from that moment were allowed. Finally in 2006 came out the new album all singed in italian called Ol3mare produced by AB Records. Ol3mare is a story written by the semanticist writer Marino Giusti and putted in music by Wounded Knee (see presentation). Unfortunately suddenly after the coming out of Ol3mare Maurizio De Palo storic drummer of the band left WK after 11 years! His place is now taken by Freddy Volante a very good drummer who just plays live with us !
