About Me

blazevery 1 was born and raised on the southside of the cuse during the early 70's to a black mother and a hispanic father. he was raised by his grandmother because his mom was too young too raise him. he moved to south carolina in 86 due to the decline in his grandmothers health, which her physician felt the warm climate would aid in her benefit.it was here that the rap bug bit blaze..along with alan jackson and marcus meredith aka the polo crew they use to do shows in the whole south carolina area. there were a couple of good groups in south carolina at this time such as the gucci crew and entince. the south has always been sort of like a forum for an artist to get discovered. blaze learned this at a very early in his rap career. he started out as a beat box and alan jackson would be the rhyme sayer, however he knew that he wanted more. in 88' blaze met a guy named robert riley who use to do his own producing of beats and rhymes and therefore wanted blaze to do the rapping over some of his beats on his own label..roberts parents who were both lawyers would aid in the project financially and rob and blaze would provide the groundwork for the label.well at this same time robert got an offer from england to attend this school for up and coming musicians..so the group disbanded in 90'. during this time blaze pretty much feared for his well being..his grandother took action and made sure that he was able to take care of himself physically..he worked out diligently for 3 years and earned his black belt..he was gonna try to open up his own school however it was not meant to be. when crack became such an epidemic in the southern states and when music took a backseat to the drug scene blaze left south carolina after witnessing the aftermath of a drive by shooting.lot of people lose their lives down there before they even turn 21.blaze had no desire to be one of those statistics.he lost a friend chris whitney on may 20th 1990..may he rest in peace..after the shooting he went to vermont to live with his dad to attend college..at this time he put the pen down when he had no desire to rhyme no more..however when he returned back to cuse in 91' the bug bit him again..it took him awhile to get the production for his rhymes but somehow he found the way.unfortunately during this whole process blaze's grandma diabetes starting taking a toll on her body.therefore she started to exprerience the repercussions of the secondary stages of this disease resulting in her untimely death in "97". she will eternally be missed cuz of her dedication to raise blaze throughout his life when a lot of women would not.that type of dedication can only be respected. his grandmothers death brought him the stength to take care of his daughter jona' who was born in 98' this represents the struggles that hes been through..he has been building for this moment his whole life..stay tuned..cuz cuse towns best kept secret aint got to keep quiet no more!found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
