Standin' out here where the rubber meets the road!

About Me

Johnny B. is a Rochester, NY singer/songwriter who has been gigging about town in various bands for the better part of 15 years. He has played in just about every kind of band and venue, from Country to Blues, from Pop to Christian Alternative Rock, from solo acoustic to full-on ear-bleeding sonic assaults.
Currently, Johnny keeps busy with 3 projects. For several years now, he has been the frontman for the Country/Classic Rock band Crossfyre, who have garnered rave reviews from just about every promoter and club owner they've worked for. Club gigs, private parties, hoedowns, shindigs, benefit gigs...they've played it all. Originally a 4-piece, they've settled on a 5-piece lineup that is guitar-heavy and tons of fun. Their live release, "Bulldozer," is available at their gigs.
2nd, Johnny fronts a smaller outfit, conveniently if prosaically dubbed "Johnny B. and Friends." This is the outlet for Johnny's original music, and so far he has released two albums: the largely acoustic "Live @ Zamar Cafe" and the studio release "True Love & Cigarettes. Both albums can be had at Johnny's gigs.
Finally, Johnny plays lead guitar, sings, and sometimes plays keyboards and even mandolin in the Worship band @ Blessed Hope Community Church in Webster, NY. They have a rockin' style band, complete with drums, keyboards, a couple guitars, and bass. They used to let him play drums, but they have a "real" drummer now in Joe V. And then he was the bass player until the group found a "real" bass player, too.
So far, Johnny plays no orchestral instruments - but you never know - there's a cello hanging around at his house...maybe it'll find its way onto a recording someday!

New album, titled "Rubber Meets The Road"

Well...so I am trying mightily to resist the urge to tweak, tweak, tweak the final, mixed tracks - I love Sound Forge, y'know? A little more reverb, a bit less compression, fade in, fade out, etc.&nbs...
