The SFMC continues to add new members and sponsor social rides and events, including our annual run in October and the Old Timer’s dance on the first Saturday of December. SFMC has been a charter member of the American Motorcycle Association (AMA number 142) since 1924, and the club remains active in District 36 today. At our weekly meetings you will still find motorcyclists of all walks of life riding all kinds of bikes, both domestic and foreign. The SFMC now boasts over 80 members, including motorcycle mechanics, road and dirt racers, daily commuters and weekend riders. We are involved in weekend rides, endurance runs, off-road riding, all types of track racing, and long distance tours, and we actively support the motorcycling community in San Francisco as well, from the smallest simplest scooter to the largest and most innovative motorcycles built. In 2004, we celebrated our 100th year of continuing existence as a motorcycle club. It was a blast, with motorcyclist from around the globe dropping in to make it a fantastic year of celebration. We can only hope that our second hundred years can find us enjoying the same pleasures and rewards the sport of motorcycling has to offer.Maybe you too, would like to part of this history?

My Interests

Motorcycles, racing, flat tracking, social rides,

I'd like to meet:

Meet us every Thursday night @ 2194 Folsom St. SF CaThe SFMC meets every Thursday night, and the public is always welcome! You don't need a written invitation from a member... ... consider this your formal invitationThere is plenty of bike parking in front of the building (or on the sidewalk), and your bike is safe for the duration of your stay.Meetings start at 8:30 PM, but if you should arrive late and a meeting is already in progress, feel free to enter the clubhouse, and the Seargent-at-Arms will seat youWe ask that all guests please sign the guestbook, which is located in the entranceway.During the meetings guests are asked to remove any hats (including helmets), and limit their participation to observation - if you have something to add, there is a time toward the end of the meeting called "Good of the Club" where anyone may speak on any subject.Meetings usually last about an hour and can range from excrutiatingly boring to downright ridiculous.During the meetings you might notice someone wandering around with two blue coffee cans strapped to their neck- don't worry, it's just a little something we call "The Pot of Silver", and here's how it works: tickets are 3 for a dollar and at the end of the meeting a random ticket is chosen- if it's your ticket, you get the cash! You are not obliged to participate, but guests have been known to win far more often than members...
