of all the Charlie Browns in the world...

a really great guy.

About Me

I'm a simple dude who can be figured out in like six minutes. Here's some random facts:
I used to book a lot of shows, manage a band, and kinda ran an independent record label. I became disenfranchised with all of that though and now I'm just "Joe Queens" or "The Mayor of Kew Gardens," depending on whether Khris is around. I think my heroes and tastes completely molded me as a person. I also think it's very important to have heroes and tastes mold you. Dream job is anything in Creative for World Wrestling Entertainment. I'd also like to be a screenwriter/producer for TV & Film and am always developing new ideas, but I'd turn down writing a Best Picture nominee to craft all the storylines and build to WrestleMania. I'd like to teach HS English one day, preferably at my alma mater. I've never been out of the Eastern Standard Time Zone. I've never been skiing, surfing, or anything that typical upper-middle class white Abercombie kids seem to swear by. The scary thing is, I feel like I'm missing out. I like TV shows that don't last long on the air. I'm not so sure it's a coincidence anymore. Veronica Mars was the best in breed. I have this thing for Jennifer Coolidge (Stiffler's mom) that's like kryptonite. I collect a lot of DVDs. Someone once said "When you get paid at the end of the week, do you think to yourself 'Should I go buy more DVDs, or should I just burn this money?' For a film aficionado, my top 20 films is kinda laughable. But fuck it, I honestly liked Empire Records way more than The Departed. I like bars, but hate overpaying for bottles of Coors Light. I always wanted to sing/play guitar in a pop punk band that was always fun and could get a circle pit going during our first song. I really just wanted people to sing my lyrics back to me so I knew someone was listening. I go through (girl)friends like your bladder goes through beer. It's unintentional and I'm working on that. I hate MySpace layouts and think they're a waste of time. I work with pornography regularly at my video store job. It's kinda embarrassing, but it has its perks. I write a lot. My favorite place in all of New York City is Penn Station. I like explaining why. Professional wrestling is one of my lifelong passions and an industry I'd love to break into. I could talk to you about wrestling or pitch hypothetical storyline/marketing ideas all night. I've recently gotten back into comics and have been reading several graphic novels from Marvel like its my job. However, I don't go to comic shops anymore, so I'm oblivious to what's new. Any recommendations? Make 'em. I get bored easily. I love long, deep, introspective conversations at odd hours of the night. If you've ever seen Elizabethtown, the convo that Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom have until they decide to meet each other in the wee hours of the morning -- that would be perfection. I love my friends, even when I can't understand why I hang out with them so much. College isn't that important to me because I think back to how inconsequential High School has been to "the grand scheme of things." I'm just kinda sleeping through it. Having "fans" weirds me out. I'd prefer friends. I love going to the movies, even if just by myself, even if the movie is horrible. I've always wanted to visit Seattle, Cleveland, San Diego, Tempe (AZ), Toronto, Amsterdam/London, Venice, Ireland, and random mid-west cities. I really don't want to move to California just to get a job in TV/Film, but I would. I think I owe myself a good Grad school having done the Commuter School bit for the last seven years, despite what I just said about college. Blogging is awesome, but it doesn't make you invincible. I think record-swapping is important to maintaining relationships with people you care about, because if successful it gives you something to share. I'm a sucker for "side 1/track 1"s that really suck you into a good record, especially when the rest of the album is as good. I subscribe to the Bro-ist philosophy. Good Bros do Good Bros good, bro.

My Interests

you know your typical suburban slacker who gets told he's "brilliant" and has "potential," but wastes his time on hobbies and interests that define him? okay, now imagine he has a friend.

I'd like to meet:
