Film, of course. But other forms of fiction as well, books, comics and video games (yes, video games).
Bryan Singer, Christopher Nolan and Darren Aronofsky are at the top of my list. Of course, a lot of filmmakers are part of the list as well. In no particular order, Kevin Smith, Robert Rodriguez, Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuaron, Joss Whedon, Sam Mendes, David Fincher, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Zach Braff, Gary Cole, William Fichtner, Edward Norton and Kevin Spacey. And then writers, Lionel Shriver, Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen Fry, Brian K. Vaughan and Mark Millar. Oh, and Jimmy Carr and Bill Bailey. Whenever I see them together on QI, I get scared. If a meteor were to strike at the bbc studio, my comic heroes would both be gone. Kinda like the president and the vice-president, except I care about this.
Oh, and David Lynch, because, come on, everyone wants to meet him. Can anyone really be thát weird?
Very eclectic. Mostly just singular songs, very few musicians I just like everything by. But I'll name Rob Dougan, just because more people need to hear about him.
American Beauty, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, The Lord of the Rings, Se7en, Apocalypse Now, Pi, Unbreakable, Batman Begins, Rashomon, and that's just ten.
Lost, Heroes, House, 24, Alias, Arrested Development, Firefly and Spaced.
Survivor, Choke, Haunted, We Need To Talk About Kevin (if anyone knows who holds the movie rights to that, I'd love to find out), Everything is Illuminated, Life of Pi, The Ultimates, Watchmen and Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men.
Great tv show.
