About Me

Hello there, let me introduce myself...my name is Maria Riboli, I'm an Italian actress/director who's been living in NYC for the past 9 years. I'm honored to present to you this amazing project ("BAAAHHH!!!") that was born during a long Roman night spent talking about work, theater and life with a great friend and a professional who I admire and respect deeply, Stefano Genovese.At the time I was looking for a new project to dive into but I wasn't having any luck...then Stefano told me about this play "Baaahhh!!!" (original title "Sako Ot Velur" by S. Stratiev). The passion for this play has captured me from the very beginning. We deeply believe in this project and we do believe we have a possible Broadway hit on my hands.The irony and the comedy that ties this piÃ¨ce together is universal: it could be taking place in Bulgaria, in Italy, or in the United States...any audience would be able to identify themselves, to laugh and cheer for our heroes and their battles against the windmills of today and to rejoice in the victory of Honesty and Tenacity of those "everyday" characters.When we read the play we knew that the perfect "window" for this USA premiere would be the Fringe Festival. So we just sent our apllication...keep your fringers crossed for us!!!We will perform the show in NY in the fall, as well, for a couple of weeks...then we're planning to take it to London (England), then Roma (Italy)This is a project that was born from the heart, with professionals who work in the business and that I'm so very thankful to call "my friends".We have so many people around us who are helping us for free for this amazing project because they read it and they believe in it as much as we do, and I know they believe in us and that's the biggest gift of all.I surely hope you'll fall in love with the same passion that captured me and Stefano the first time we read this play.This blog will follow us and this journey and we hope to make many friends along the way...Please come and check out or OFFICIAL WEBSITE www.baaahhh.com
