About Me

I left corporate America in August of 2006 after working way too many hours and not having enough time to spend with my family. My father thought I had lost my mind! As a matter of fact the exact words from my father were, "You don't leave a 6 figure + job to bake cakes!!!!."The first time I even thought about baking a cake was after I saw a book by Debbie Brown called "Naughty Cakes", in the summer of 2006. It was during that moment I knew I had an interest in cake decorating and was amazed at the things that could be done with a cake. I started taking cake decorating classes as a means of reducing the stress in my life and fell in love. Later that fall, I spent 6 weeks in Chicago at Wilton taking their Master Course, Fondant, Gumpaste, Pulled Sugar, Australian Method and two classes with Colette Peters. I had the bug! Now all I want to do is create cakes out of fondant!
