Dogme films, Mike Leigh, Dig! and Don't Look Back and most other rockumentaries if you will, most of the foreign language films they show on BBC 4, I Heart Huckabees, Anything involving Charlie Kaufman, low-budget American indies where not much happens, things with Gael Garcia Bernal in, Robert Altman, Apocalypse Now, Performance, Star Wars, The Graduate, road movies where the lead character dies in the closing frame, Cannonball Run, Smokey and The Bandit, Convoy and all other films of that ilk.

Television:

Curb yr Enthusiasm, Spaced, Brasseye, Nathan Barley, Rick Stein, River Cottage, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Wife Swap, Big Brother, Jam, David Starkey's Monarchy, Simon Schama, lots of documentaries, Pet Rescue, David Attenborough, Most things on BBC 4, Our Friends in the North, GBH, Boys from the Blackstuff & other 'gritty' dramas, Finally got round to watching Nighty Night the other week and it was worth the wait, Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.

Books:

All I used to read was rock biographies and music journalism anthologies but of late I have been making a concerted effort to read some PROPER books...Saying that my favourite books will always be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The True Adventures of The Rolling Stones.

Heroes:

Joan Baez, Marianne Faithfull, Emmylou Harris and all other 'rock wives' who were cooler than the boys...
