Dave started playing music at the beginning, starting with pots and pans on the kitchen floor. Mom never made him stop, even though it probably drove her nuts (thanks, mom). Dave's first real experience with music was in church singing pageants as a child. When his grandmother moved in, her piano came with her. At the age of nine, he began taking drum lessons. One of his dad's friends gave him a drumset that had been collecting dust in his basement. He fell in love with the drumset, but also briefly played the trumpet, violin, and accordion. Dave has recently (since last year) taken up the vibraphone, and hopes to further develop his skills as a vibraphonist. A great portion of his recent work has been recording, playing, and touring with Leaving The Scene, a Portland based band recently signed to Lifo Records.
