Chance Hayden

Chance Hayden is a diverse, performing guitarist with fluency in many genres from jazz and American roots music, to rock and rhythm & blues. Raised in the pacific northwest, Chance attended Portland State University where upon receiving awards and scholarships he graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Music Performance in Jazz. As an avid performer Chance appears with Portland luminaries Tom Grant, Shelly Rudolph, Bobby Torres and has shared the stage with international artists Diane Schurr, Bill Watrous and Terrell Stafford. Chance has several current projects including a jazz trio Hayden, Horsfall & Gilson plus an early New Orleans jazz group Devin Phillips’ Black & Blue. Additionally Chance teaches private guitar instruction and music theory lessons, while also active as a composer and arranger.
