i'm all over the place when it comes to music! first of all i'm a jazz nut, and i have my favorites: trane, miles, monk, cannonball, jimmy smith, gerry mulligan, sonny rollins, wes, dizzy, james carter, fats waller, bird, rashaan roland kirk, billly holiday, ornette colman, colman hawkins, mingus, pharoah sanders, wayne shorter, ray charles, duke, howard roberts, dave holland, nels orsted peterson, oscar peterson, jaco, joe zawinul, herbie hancock, ron carter, joe henderson, stan getz, eric dolphy, sonny clark, kenny burrell, chick corea, tal farlow, paul chambers, etc etc etc living down here in north carolina, i got exposed to folk music and in perticular clawhammer banjo style and learned myself. so with that, i begun writing in this style and going to the university and checking out some of the material on old timey music. i've written some of my own clawhammer compositions in some neato tunings that i would like to share with anyone who wants them...werd... really into medevial and rennascance music lately and digging on the phillip glass. i also love the classics, bach, beethoven, rimsky korsikov, etc, and have a special place in my heart for string quartets and 17th century chamber music. rock: i'm into zepplin, metallica, enon, mars volta, slayer, beatles, dri, suicidal tendencies, big black, sonic youth, pixies, misfits, umphrey's, black flag, nin, u2, rem, the clash, smashing pumpkins, the stones, old van halen, fishbone, dirty dozen brass band, the mars volta, david bowie, that crazy gnarls barkley shit, boards of canada, SeepeopleS, neil young, johnnyfuckin'scroggs, raconteurs, bloc party, more fishbone, and more fishbone,
