About Me

My Beautiful Music
My Beautiful Music
LaShaun Tribble was born in Hollywood, FL to Debbie and Meredith Tribble on July 30, 1982. Born into a musically– inclined family, LaShaun frequently sung in church as a child. From seventh to twelfth grade, she was selected to sing at the prestigious Florida Music Educator’s Association’s conference every year. From seventh through her high school senior year, she was chosen for the Sight Reading Choir. A virtuosic child, she has taken piano lessons since her sixth year in grade school and has been coined a musician with ‘perfect pitch’. She attended New World School of the Arts, where she studied Classical Voice and aspired to become an Opera singer. However, her widely varied interests and talents lead her to explore broader horizons. Her musical ability won her a full scholarship to attend Florida A & M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, where she double majored in Voice and Piano Performance. Her voice professor, Shirley Johnson, was an established and renowned performer with a doctorate degree in Voice from Indiana University. LaShaun quickly became one of the premier vocal entertainers in the area. While receiving a university education, she directed a church choir at Mt. Ararat AME Church. Her vocal abilities have won her several talent competition titles as well. She won the First Title of FAMU American Idol in 2004. Florida A & M campus organizations consistently invited her to perform. They include the University Honors Program and the Nursing Pinning Ceremony from years 2001-2004. She has performed U.S. Congressman Carrie Meek and Florida A & M University deans and presidents. Upon graduating cum laude with honors in 2004, LaShaun continued offering her services, only full time now, as a professional voice and piano instructor/coach while taking Jazz Piano and Guitar Lessons of her own. Names of artists and entertainers she has had the pleasure to work with are as follows Trumpeter Longineu Parsons, Ashanti ‘The Mad Violinist’ Floyd, Actress Lashawnda Batts, Choreography and Professional Dancer Sharron Williams, Actor and Singer Jamie Chase, LeAndra Padgett-singer, Eclipz of ‘First Ave’-rapper and music engineer, DeShean ‘Isreal’ Price-musical engineer. A year later, she was asked to develop and direct the Choral Music program at Belle Vue Middle and Godby High schools. Her experience with directing Choral Music has inspired to one day create a school centered on the arts, including the art of healing. Ms. Tribble has become a true custodian of culture. She has taken 4 years of African Dance and learned to play African drums, piano, and many other instruments. She actively studies the music, dance, and culture from many traditions around the world. In 2005, she played the ‘Ndongo’ in Florida State’s Ugandan Music Ensemble. LaShaun also was featured in a Black on Black Rhyme show called Women of Poetry in Jacksonville FL. In 2006, she participated as a pianist and vocalist for the FSU Blues Ensemble. In February, she also produced and starred in a show entitled “Omoragita’s Fulfillment”, a full length acapella production. This show proved successful as it was the first acapella show in the North Florida area. It was also her first solo-featured show ever. Diverse in the art of music, she provided audiences with music from Classical, Jazz, and R & B Genres. Omoragita’s Fulfillment was a show that left a lasting impression on the ears of the shows listeners. In 2007, she continued making her mark on the music scene by making appearances in other shows and events in and around the Tallahassee/ North Florida/South Georgia Area. She makes monthly appearances with Black on Black Rhyme, the worlds largest Poetry Group Collective in the United States. She has sung background for the band ‘Runaway Soul’, Tallahassee, FL during their featured shows: An evening at Chez Pierre and “Soul in the City”, performed as a background singer for Kendra M. Foster, provided entertainment for the third annual Secret Garden by Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity Inc, as well as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. As a singer, she has worked with many artists. Currently she provides background vocals for a weekly Jazz event entitled ‘Moonlit Monday’s’ created by Lance Powlis, Ashanti ‘The Mad Violinist’ Floyd. Other musicians and affiliations are Willerm Delisfort, Larry ‘Smokin’ Drums’ Wilson, Brandon McCrae, Adrian Crutchfield, Longineu Parsons, Kendra Foster, Jiggsaw Multimedia Inc., Laylo Productions Inc., Black on Black Rhyme, Renita Canady Consulting Inc., and also two collaborations with ‘Sir’ Charles Atkins and Dr. Dana ‘Baba Kamau’ Dennard. Her beautiful voice can be found on a movie score “21 Doors”, a film by Dr. Dana ‘Baba Kamau’ Dennard. Currently (2008), she is working with the legendary Blues Singer/Pianist Charles Atkins. One of LaShaun’s hidden talents is that she is a certified Yoga Instructor who practices in Tallahassee, FL. She can be found coaching private piano and voice lessons, or yoga classes and seminars.
