About Me

Add the banner to your page! ..MetalStruck started as an inspirational work collectively produced by the individuals contained within it. Making a band profile was the best way to share the music in a free and broad ranged manner. The main purpose for MetalStruck's creation was to show how several different affiliations and labels can be destroyed by combining them and effectively merging total chaos with a passion for what it's always all about. Music.MetalStruck is an effort to make wild, unparalleled, and unrestricted rock. It incorporates punk, metal, speed metal, southern rock, alternative, acoustics, and alot of sleep being lost. Expect to get a little of everything. It's purpose is to force the larger entities within music to take notice and hear the fans of the music itself. It's not about five million dollar vehicles, clothes, and bullshit you see on tv.MetalStruck is rock whatever way you choose to look at it and if you don't support the world of rock I suggest you find some blinging twenty inch rims and shine them until you see someone else in the reflection. We're not a touring band and never will be. This music is a testimony to the bands we can thank for giving us what we all have today.Metal*Struck formed as early as 2004 when the name came to mind. Xavier Holland was just coming out of his teens inspired by artists everywhere making him realize he wanted to make something for himself one day too. Picking up the guitar at the young age of fourteen he plays four instruments besides that. Collecting software, production tools, synth tables, and vox plugins Xavier set out to make his first song. Debuting to a small group of friends an early version of My Serious Implication his friends laughed and said to leave it to the professionals. Xavier realized after disbanding with his second band he might not be able to capture people in the same way again. So he tried a different angle and tucked the name away for later...Infuriated he formulated another small time project called In The House of Silence. With this group he made songs like ,"The Anger Room" and "Kitchen Mess" which both cited instances of murder filled gore and sadness. Shocking both his friends and family Xavier moved hundreds of miles away from his original home. Later to reunite with his family at a later date. In The House of Silence eventually grew into popularity as X continued to write longer and more tragically schemed songs. Depression, alcohol, and contempt bred inside the group quickly. An outbreak of jealousy and hatred spread through the members and X was told he was not the original creator of the band, though he may have written most of the songs he wasn't allowed to make any decisions. X left the group after an onstage argument with the drummer which elevated to a larger incident than it should have and they never recovered or acquired another vocalist because of the reputation it had given them. In The House of Silence was torn and disbanded six months after it's original conception and eleven songs later, EP and debut CD never released. In the Summer of 2005 longtime friend Daniel Rodriguez began engineering his own fingerplay mechanics. Recording spanish guitar solos, and making industrial music Xavier recognized his young friend's talents for anything with a beat. Daniel completed an entire demo worth of songs for a small group of close knit friends to listen to under a video game concept. Citing heroes like Dave Mustaine and following in the footsteps of other technically inclined artists like Chris Vrenna. Dan set out to make a new project as well but didn't have a ground basis for launching it. Late 2005 Daniel and Xavier partnered in the collaboration of two songs. One failed to see the light of day while the other was passed around the internet to hundreds of messenger, email, and forum contacts to share and give opinions. While the song was barely even clear enough to understand and the rythym wasn't tight enough the appreciated effort still shown through for both of them by fan response. Early 2006 Xavier downmixed guitar chords, drum solos, and a handful of clever sweeping phasing techniques to blast out an awesome minute and twenty seconds of originality. Daniel stated for the record,"The shit blew me away."X and Dan searched for a name for their small time project and X dug out and dusted off M*S. Metal being for the sound he was raised with and often pulls a deeper groan in even the most emotive songs blending them in a variety of illustrious post dementia episodes. They knew they could still fall under that category or at least partially. The second half of the name being Struck gave respect to the legends known as AC/DC. Parallel in all goals it was just the music. The asterisk sometimes seen as a star or crosshaired triangle seperated the two making a distinct and one of a kind appearance. No girl's names, no emotions described, and certainly nothing religiously opressive or promoting was used. Troy Canning was later introducing on bass. After originally gearing into the songs with a Les Paul guitar, Troy decided he wanted the bass more than anything and later backup guitar. Starting as a session jam with Xavier the two shared hours of insight and reason for what should be the main point and objective with such a small project but to at least reach someone with it.Three guitar players, a doubling drummer, and doubling bassist. A Cuban nerd, an emo, and a large masculine white guy spawned a "Placebo meets My Chemical Romance in Jimi Hendrix and Marilyn Manson's basement" styled group. While more members are expected to follow, the group is working on a debut album that will be the first album that cannot be,"classified," by any genre labels other than rock. Xavier was available to quote on it stating the following:"I had no piercings, a few tats, and a diverse spectrum of music to pull from. Listening to alot of the emo groups that sling such a trend while I make fun of them one of the members is most definitely emo. Screaming death metal music for at least a year and then deciding it was a bit harsh to drive to I reverted to my oldschool metal for some reference. Finally, it just hit me! Why don't we make each song different and only two or three will sound similar? That way we can confuse everyone into a strange combination of music for everyone without outside influences clouding our inspiration. I smiled, talked to Dan and he said let's do this. We knocked off two songs and left girls and guys alike asking for more. It's truly powerful no matter what you call it."___________________________________END__________________ ______________ __ mu?sic /'myuz?k/-[myoo-zik]–noun 1. an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. 2. the tones or sounds employed, occurring in single line (melody) or multiple lines (harmony), and sounded or to be sounded by one or more voices or instruments, or both. 3. musical work or compositions for singing or playing. 4. the written or printed score of a musical composition. 5. such scores collectively. 6. any sweet, pleasing, or harmonious sounds or sound: the music of the waves. 7. appreciation of or responsiveness to musical sounds or harmonies.

METAL*STRUCK ARCADE (FL9 REQUIRED):

For Timmy from NYH:
Words about Tim from M*S: Xav H.-"Tim was an awesome vocalist and the loss of any artist or a person even that was felt across such a large community of music appreciating youth/adults alike is just a tragedy when it's someone so young. Bright and loveable, the guy had skills and sadly noone will get to see that now except through his closest friends who carry on his memory. I'm sorry especially that I never got to meet the guy. I don't think anyone anywhere could say a bad thing about him. Tim I never met you and won't claim I knew anything about you but I know this.... You were loved and still are dude. My heart and sympathies go out to Pete, Nick, and J in Not Your Hero. This Christmas we'll remember. I'm sorry man..." Troy C.-"I never knew the guy, never saw them live, never heard their music until after he had already passed. Hearing his voice and his bass lines echo through my head as I am constantly reminded it's just a ghost of who the real guy was I'm mournful for their loss. I can't even fake a cold remark. A great friend, a great guy, and someone you'll never forget but always imagine is still there with you. I'm sorry to Pete, Tim's family, and Tim's friends. Merry Christmas Tim." DannyRod-"Eh you know when something like this happens it destroys lives for a long time. Leaving wakes of sorrow and waves of emotion passing through everyday, all you can do is to keep struggling to put it out of your mind. The times you laughed, the times you cried, the times you shared with each other you'd never trade. Not even the bad ones. It's those times that make everything so worth cherishing and keeping in a warm embrace of memory preserved friendship and family made love. All I have to say is this, it's an impact felt not only by the members of Not Your Hero but by people who didn't even know him. That's a strong memory and a beautiful person to leave such a mark on the world that's not looked at as a scar. But a shining gift he gave when he was around. Sorry NYH. So very sorry guys...."

(Sunday 3rd September 2006). Tim was rushed into Frenchey hospital on Wednesday 16th August with a brain hemorrhage (A malfunction of an artery in a place in his brain). Tim fought hard for the first week and bit with small signs of recovery but took a turn for the worst last monday. This caused them to operate and find that the initial damage was alot worse than first expected, this put Tim into a very critical condition. Over time the swelling and pressures in his brain kept increasing which was causing more damage to the brain. During this critical period Tim also got severe pneumonia to his right lung. The hemorrhage happened at random whilst Tim was sleeping at his home in Sturminster Newton at about 2am on the wednesday morning. Click his picture and remember who Tim Brown was.
