The Trip to Bountiful
by Horton Foote Directed by Harris Yulin
Horton Foote’s tender, heartfelt study focuses on Carrie Watts, who dreams of returning to her childhood home in the small town of Bountiful, Texas, which she left three decades ago. She sets out to fulfill her dream, with results that are both heartbreaking and brilliantly life-affirming. Actor/director Harris Yulin recreates his off-Broadway triumph, featuring a luminous performance by Obie Award-winner Lois Smith. The Trip to Bountiful runs approximately two hours without intermission. March 1 - April 13, 2008

Set against the backdrop of the 2005 Chicago Bears’ season, Gas For Less is a multi-generational story about a small family-owned gas station struggling to stay afloat on the north side of Chicago. When a sudden act of violence shatters his world, Anthony, the 25-year-old manager, must reconcile himself with his newfound responsibilities and the changing faces of a neighborhood and a generation. Brett Neveu received the Goodman’s Ofner Prize for Heritage. His other plays include The Meek; The Earl; 4 Murders; Eric LaRue; American Dead; Eagle Hills, Eagle Ridge, Eagle Landing; twentyone; and The Last Barbecue. May 24 - June 22, 2008
