Psykophonics is a Blues rock, alternative, folk, Power trio based in Amiens; France. The current line up (Jay, Phil & FX) is together since early november 2006 (one week before our first gig).
I figured what the heck, Rock n' Roll music is not much of a career, but I've been at it for the best part of the last 15 years. Seein' the love, good vibes & support we've been getting from our audience, well; it sort of warms you inside and keeps you going stronger! Psykophonics is the harvest of years of songwriting and musical experiences, waiting for the right time and moment to bloom. Considering the small amount of time we've had to put together a consistant set of original material & some old cover classics to please the average "bar gathering", and somehow manage to make a buck or two pleasing ourselves. The alchemy, musically and humanly, makes way for some good Rock n' Roll like we rarely get to hear anymore.
Our first two gigs were, unrehearsed for, and considering the large amounts of alcohol we inducted (remember Rock n' Roll is not a career) they turned out allright, so fine indeed that I've decided to take this guys in and continue my songwriting, recordings, touring and all of the things that make this "non career" worth all the fun. Phil Elter is a veteran of the local Rock scene and FX is playing with several bands, a real devotee to his drums. Together we can groove a "phat dinosaur" off his bones. And this is only the beginnig folks, we are recording some new tunes in the midst of april and hopefully get an album out some time this year.
I'm not going to talk your ears off "or write your eyes out" just to say how much I feel 'bout Psykophonics, allthough this medium is made just for that. I hope we will get some videos (very soon!), pictures, and more songs to share!
We are self producing (with a little help from some friends) our first CD. The next logical step would be to find a distributor.... and get more gigs! We hope the music we make pleases and is understood.
