Altar of Plagues was created by J with the intention of creating dark music.Although the music is primarily rooted in black metal, new material branches further into different sounds. Material was written and recorded by J in 2003 but these recording were never used due to their poor quality. J continued to write more material and in 2006 began recording for what later became the “First Plague†demo.
During the recording, Plague joined on Vocals and Guitars and Drahcir (Ex-Infernus) on Vocals. Additional guitars were also contributed by RoHuGarDarn (Belinus). The “First Plague†demo is currently being used for promotional purposes but may be released in early 2007. New material is currently being written by J. A bassist and guitarist are currently being recruited so rehearsals will begin shortly. Plans are underway for live shows as well as recording in early 2007.
