About Me

I have been living in Paphos, Cyprus for 4 years now so I guess I'd call it home. I am a bit out of touch with old friends though - sorry! I'm currently in the throes of setting up a new company which provides personal training qualifications (Solar Fitness Qualifications) so if you are interested in spending 8 weeks in the sun to get a accredited diploma in personal training, drop me a line. Check out the link below to the SFQ website...

My Interests

Fitness training, especially crossfit type stuff, love reading books, watching movies, hanging out in coffee shops, eating out, cooking, shaving my head!!! and checking out the internet.

I'd like to meet:

Friends old and new and anyone keen to network. Especially keen to hear from anyone in Cyprus. I get back to Bristol quite often so would love to hear from any old Bristolian friends who want to catch up next time I'm back in town.

Music:

All sorts - old rock, new rock, 80's & 90's - anything that lifts my mood or makes me feel energized. I really enjoy singing too but only Karaoke although I'm contemplating taking singing lessons to compliment my electric guitar lessons...

Movies:

Love movies! Especially like the "Saw" series, horror films in general, the Rocky movies, James Bond - the newest J.B. is excellent BTW!, any decent thriller, Jim Carey comedies, Adam Sandler movies (Happy Gilmore is a classic!)...I will watch just about anything really. I like films so much that sometimes I think I should quit the fitness business and start writing movie reviews!

Television:

24, Prison Break, Deadwood, CSI, Scrubs, House, Six Feet Under, Serenity, 4400, Blackadder, Lost, Bones, Heroes, Rome, Little Britain, Simpsons...

Books:

Anything by Stephen King, Joe R Lansdale, Dean Koontz, Carl Hiaasen, Tony Hawks, Ross Emanait. My favourite books include The Stand and The Talisman by Stephen King, All the Hap and Leonard books by Joe R Lansdale and I am sad to say that I really like the Harry Potter books too - even though the movies suck!

Heroes:

Muhammad Ali, Jimmy Saville, Frank Bruno, Daley Thompson, Kevin Simmons, my dad and grandads, all heroes for vastly different reasons.
