Design, escaping the real world, beautiful hands, unopened packages, kitsch, storms and dark skies, ridiculous advertising campaigns 1930-50's, sketching, touching things that say "Don't Touch", long brunches at my favourite cafe, licking the froth on a flatwhite, bookstores, dark chocolate, vintage, furniture that doesn't just look good, new beginnings, moody pictures, fresh sheets, dreamers, the possiblities of blank paper, uncomfortable but beautiful shoes, acoustic guitar, people who smile.
Creative people who are passionate about something/anything! Anyone who feels compelled to make their dream or vision a reality. Strangers who are kind, and kind people who are strange. People with crazy ideas and unrealistic expectations. Other people who like Pavlova

I miss UK telly - it was designer heaven! My fave show- Grand Designs (Kevin if you're reading this - I WILL run away with you). Grey's Anatomy and House are the only things I kind of watch religiously, the rest I could take or leave. Used to love The Office, Little Britain and Sex and the City (what do you expect?-I'm a girl!)
Am always reading something about design. Fave magazines - Urbis, indesign, Wallpaper, Inside,Aa, SDQ, Artichoke, Living etc, Belle. Alain de Botton's "The Architecture of Happiness" - haven't really had time to read any fiction in ages. Tony Parsons, John O'Farrell, Helen Fielding and Nick Hornby make me laugh out loud.
I admire Glenn Murcutt and would love to live in a house built and designed by him. Shigeru Ban - I'd walk around naked in the WALL-LESS HOUSE, feeling the wind brush my skin and watching the storm clouds hover over my ceiling.
