About Me

"The first step to a successful revolution, is to destroy all other competing revolutionaries..."
Before you go ANYWHERE, check out all the other stuff I do:
First, there's my photography website Carbon Images .
Then there's my Flickr site for Carbon Images .
And finally, I write lots. Check out whatI've been talking about here with The Straight Edge Blog .
Welcome to the home of DJ SKD. This is a wild and crazy mixed up world where the men can be men and the women can dress up in tight PVC nurses uniforms, and spank you with riding crops. Small children run free in front of large combine harvesters, blindfolded and earplugged, with only their guile and the smell of jelly sweets to guide them to safety. Old ladies hand out Murray mints laced with laxatives to important politicians whose minds are solely on which country they should be invading next and not about how to pass the time during the next 8 hours on the toilet. Dogs and cats lay down together and monkeys have been taught to juggle cans of baked beans. McDonald's workers speak your language and give you the correct change. Taxi drivers know where the fuck they're going. Tottenham win the Premiership every year, and all Arsenal fans can't get girlfriends. It's a world where aliens have been in contact, and want to know how we manage to live together so peacefully. They picked us up from intersteller transmissions of early episodes of Married...with Children. It's a world where vampires have their own union and Jerry Springer-lookalikes earn more than the Queen. Long-haired surfers who play guitar and release records are hunted with crossbows for sport, and ferrets are used to pull broken down cars. It's a crazy mixed-up world and welcome to it. It doesn't always make sense. It's bigoted and rude one minute, then caring and fluffy the next. But it's non-judgemental and open. We're all in this together. Living the dream and getting through it. One day at a time. One day, at a time.
Left: my great Uncle, Fred. Right: my grandfather, Philip. Both, cool as f**k! Photo was taking in Greece, I'm guessing sometime around the 1950s.
My family: left to right...my aunt (my father's sister), my father, another aunt (my uncle's wife), my uncle (my father's brother), my grandmother, and my grandfather.

Well, what can I say about me that is going to sum me up enough to form a loose bond through a Murdoch-owned social networking site? A lot of people spend this section writing about life and how it should or shouldn't be. But I'm not even going to pretend I have the solutions to your lives, let alone my own.
Here's a list of things that I seem to do or consume a lot of. It might help sum me up. It might not. But it was the easiest way I could think of to fill in this gap.
+ Pepsi
+ Bacon sandwiches on a Saturday morning
+ Tooheys Extra Dry
+ Taking photos when I'm drunk
+ Anything by the Natural Confectionary Company
+ Texting - man, I ought to have grown out of that
+ Losing at poker - I'm on partypoker.com as 'sdellboy'
+ Playing football (currently in four teams!)
+ Teaching Sooty & Sweep to kill with their bare claws
+ Downloading music off iTunes & Allformp3.com
+ Buying CDs - just.got.to.have.one.more
+ South Park & The Simpsons
Other than that my main passion at the moment is writing. I'm doing my Essential Tunes through my blog and my first screen play 'Bows & Arrows' is finished and awaiting critical acclaim from random people I know. I'm now moving onto writing my first book. Which is actually my second book, but that's a long story. Boom boom. Thank you. I'm here all week.

Sooty:
I also exist on the rest of the internet as sdellboy, my evil alter-ego. Please be aware - DJ SKD and sdellboy are two very different people and neither is held responsible for the actions of the other. BANZAI!
