He may look a lot like the young man living in the house next door to you, but not really. He is an singer, songwriter. He has been singing for 3 years and song writing from a child and now he’s someone that the world will soon know.Born and raised in east London, he had always been obsessed with music and didn’t even consider composing until he realised that he had a talent for it, then soon became obsessed with the creative process involved in making music.One listen to T-SHAI's voice and you’re tempted to draw comparisons to influences such as: Jaheim, Joe, Stevie Wonder, just to name a few. But listen a bit longer and those comparisons begin to dissipate as it becomes clear that, while T-SHAI certainly channels the creativity of those who have come before him, he definitely has a style, a flavor and a place in music that are all his own.T-SHAI got his musical initiation early on, scored himself a victory at the well known Hackney Empire's 291 Club, inspired by what he refers to as his “eclectic” taste and soaking in the sounds of his favorites from Soul to reggae music coupled with his later voluntary interests in other types of music such as Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, African music which has made for an interesting combination which can be heard through the music he writes and chooses to represent himself. T-SHAI explores the many colors of life and love as a young man and he does so without being too infantile or too raunchy which enables him time to grow with his audience.The first installment, and self & co-written track, produced by Dean Anthoni aka Whodini entitled “IT'S ON TONIGHT” is an irresistible feel good slow jam with an attention-grabbing hook, it's almost poetry to the ears.It would be safe to say that T-SHAI's career is off to a great start. T-SHAI comes to the music industry fully-loaded as not only a talented vocalist, but a versatile songwriter who has learned the many intricacies of the music industry. Still, T-SHAI insists that he wants to be involved in the pushing forward of our unique UK sound and wants to have a chance at changing a few of the set ways in the industry today.T-SHAI may still be a lot like the man who lives next door to you.
