About Me

M y two cents:
One love! We can all learn so much from each other if we keep ourselves open to it. Embrace all that is good and beautiful in all cultures, beliefs and ways of life. Don`t limit yourself! You must risk to gain. Don`t stay comfortable! Never stop searching, learning, experiencing, broadening your horizons. Rather than prejudging, give everyone and everything a fair hearing. Do not give in to bitterness. Keep perspective and make good out of even seemingly bad situations or experiences. And above all, love each other deeply!
U pdate:
This Atlanta girl is loving LA! I'm also loving my new school- go USC Trojans! I moved here about a year ago to pursue my Master's in Social Work (studied psychology at Emory), and meanwhile I am a therapist for children with autism and do some acting. I'm very excited to be here. LA is such a melting pot, so much variety- the activities, scenery, people, food...and anybody who knows me knows how much I looove culture.
P ersonality:
I'm playful, adventurous, positive, open to everyone/everything without prejudgements (I hope!), energetic, friendly, strive for the balance of growing in wisdom yet preserving innocence, love God and people, enjoy learning new things, gentle and loving, creative and bright but sometimes silly/scatterbrained ;), easy going, enjoy both the outdoors/nature and the city, LOVE exploring, experiencing and trying new things.
F ave Foods: I am completely addicted to Boba, particularly almond, coconut and taro. Mmm. I want to get some right now just talking about it.
Another awesome invention is Tom Kha Gai soup, yummy in my tummy. :) It always hits the spot, especially on chilly days. Other fave comfort soups are: kimchee jji-gae, yook gae yang, and pho.
I love me my dimsum. Not only is the food scrumptious, but I love the whole experience of all the carts whizzing by with an assortment of temptations for my tastebuds. My faves are the shrimp rolls, pork buns, taro cakes and sesame buns.
And I can’t forget green curry with eggplant or chow fun with bok choy. Whew, all this talk about food is making me hungry!
W ho I'd like to meet:I'm not looking for a boyfriend on here. I have a very nurturing and caring man (and H.O.T.), and I'm very happy with him, so in return I want to nurture this relationship.
For me, Myspace is just another venue to stay connected with friends, reconnect with old friends, or connect with others that either inspire me or that I can inspire. Although none of us are perfect, let's try our best to be a positive influence on the people placed in our path. Don't underestimate your influence!

My Interests

Interests: Experiencing life to its fullest, expanding my horizons, coffee shop talks, slumber parties, learning about and appreciating other cultures and perspectives, trying new foods, traveling and exploring, nature, dancing, the beach, campfires with hot cocoa and smores, spending time with loved ones.

Music:

I like music that either energizes me like House/Trance (Van Dyk, Sasha, etc.), Latin, or Real McCoy (I know, old school!).... or music that relaxes me like Robert Miles, Enya, Enigma, Classical, Evanescence's My Immortal

Movies:

I like movies that make me laugh, cry, or inspire me, like Antwon Fisher, Braveheart, Crash, Last of the Mohicans, Thirteen, Joy Luck Club, Great Expectations; Or breaks from reality like Princess Bride, Labrynth, Willow (yes I'm a geek!)

Television:

Prefer to be out or talking to people, but when I stay in I appreciate some comic relief. If I'm a good girl I'll watch TLC or Discovery.

Books:

The Purpose Driven Life

Heroes:

My father is the most patient, selfless, and optimistic person I know. I have never even seen this man raise his voice! Ok what's up with that. I have also never seen him do or say anything that could raise an eyebrow. And no matter how hard life gets he always maintains a positive attitude and a sense of humor. He says hard times are a blessing because they make you stronger and develop your character. I am blessed to have such a role model.
