Hi, my name is Tisha Okuma, and
this is My Story ....
There are two ways we can choose to live our life, one that is ordinary or one that is extraordinary. We get to embark on this journey while experiencing the different seasons that life has to offer. As I look back on my own journey of living through all the seasons of life I've experienced thus far, I'm so appreciative of the life I'm blessed to be living. Some seasons have been better than others, but it's a process of growth that's helped shape the person I am today. I look at having lived my life in three different stages, and that is, one, living with the wrong mindset, two, experiencing my transformation, and, three, living powerfully in my God-given destiny.
Who In The World Is This Tisha Okuma Girl Anyways...??
I will share with you some of my story so that you can know a little about me. I was born in Tokyo, Japan, and I have lived in places such as Arkansas, Oklahoma, Seattle, the San Francisco area and now the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area. I have put myself through several schools, and I've been successful in business for almost 15 years.
But I'll begin with the "wrong mindset" season of life I was in. I grew up with an amazing family, but at one point toward the latter years in high school, I developed low self-esteem and insecurities that led me on a path of self-destruction. I ended up in the wrong kind of relationships, one that was verbally and mentally abusive that later turned into physical abuse. I also got involved in drinking and using drugs…always waiting for the next party to go to. After a long while of living this way, I asked myself, "What am I doing?" I recognized the way I had been living was not how I was meant to live….that there was something greater to do and something greater for me to become. It was at that point that I became determined to make some major changes in my life. I was going to shift my world around to where I could now live in the season of renewing my mind, heart and spirit.
This brings me to my next season. In this new season of transformation, I was learning a lot about myself….the mistakes I had made and why. I had to give up old habits and learn to apply the tools necessary to strive for the extraordinary life that was meant for me. I surrounded myself with amazing people and received the healing that I deserved. I was learning my value and my worth so that I could live and be happy about life. And so in regards to relationships, I made the decision to remain single until I met the one I was to marry. For me, this period lasted for almost nine years, but it was well worth the wait. I'll get to that in a moment, though.
Now, in terms of my business, I was very successful in making a lot of money but had nothing to show for it. I was not making wise decisions on managing what I had. I wasn't really aware of how to make the right decisions necessary to break out of that mold I had created. As I began to learn and take responsibility for my actions, my personal and professional life started to transform. It was great! Things were really beginning to prosper for me. I was beginning to get focused and committed to create the life that I desired to have. I was on the right path to fulfilling my desires and purpose in life. Now that I was being exposed to making wise decisions, I was now able to protect myself and family in building financial security.
I've been motivated to learn and have been taught by some amazing teachers/mentors who have given me wisdom spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially, who helped me know who I am, my value and worth, and discover my passions.
So now I am living powerfully in the life I'm creating by design! I've had the honor and privilege of being married to an amazing partner in life and business, who's been a tremendous mentor to me. My life has truly been empowered and inspired, for which I am truly grateful. We have a fantastic marriage. We've now been married for almost seven years. We have the most amazing families and friends that we get to do life with, all of whom are incredible role models to many. I surround myself with only the best.
I love to travel. I've gone on a missions trip to Trinidad-Tobago to help families in that part of the world.
My husband and I get to travel all over the world, meeting amazing people, learning and experiencing different cultures. For the past eight years we have had the privilege of traveling back and forth to Israel, working with young people there and also being a part of international business projects, music projects and productions. I was even blessed to be able to sing on stage at the historic Jerusalem March which was televised to media networks throughout the region. Being born in Japan, I've been able to travel back and forth to Japan and Okinawa. Some of our other travels have been to Korea, Amsterdam, Milan, Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii and other places here in the U.S. I absolutely love it! I'm getting to live a life doing what I am passionate about. It's amazing what can happen when you design the life you desire.
The Sad, Hidden Reality Of Many Women In Their 20s & 30s....
Because of what I've gone through, my passion has been to empower and inspire others, especially women, to live the incredible life of wealth and prosperity in all areas of their lives. What we imagine and envision becomes our reality. The sad thing is that so many of us are living ordinary lives with no joy, no power, no inspiration and no motivation, and this should not be so! We have so much going on, and it can be tiring and overwhelming. At times we find ourselves focusing on the frustrating and negative parts that we lose focus of the good things. There was a time in my life where I focused on those negative situations, and it was leading me down that wrong path.
As I've shared, the real problem was having that wrong mindset, lack of vision and know-how. Once my mindset was renewed with inspiration and new vision, I took my life to that next level of higher living that all of us are to be living on a daily basis! We can have it all and live our lives extraordinarily. The resources are out there. It's about finding the right tools and learning them and applying them to make our desires come to pass, whether it be personal or financial.
How Do I Improve My Life Which Is Currently NOT What I Want It To Be?
Charles Spurgeon said, "Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise…but to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom." That's powerful! These are strategic times we live in, and we are called to live a strategic life. Taking action is key to getting to the level where you deserve to be. One way to take action is to surround yourself with the right people. If you do not have a mentor, I suggest you get one, someone who can equip you and guide you in the right way mentally, spiritually and financially. Start to design the life you deserve!
And for you women out there, my passion is for you to seek out, understand and know what your purpose is, what your passions and desires are, and to seek out the right tools to be wealthy and successful in life. We are a valuable asset to this world and the people around us, especially when we come together to make things happen. I've been taught that we can't give what we don't have, so the main objective is to get Empowered and Inspired so that we can eventually help others!

What I've learned on my journey so far is I first had to make those key decisions that only I knew I should make; second, I had to renew my mindset from the wrong ways of thinking to the right ways of thinking about myself – find out what's been ineffective and turn that around; third, I had to discover my value and worth and my value system; fourth, I created my list of dreams, passions and goals and steps toward attaining them; and fifth, I found spiritual mentors and financial mentors – surrounded myself with people that encouraged and motivated me in all aspects of my life.
I'm excited to live this life, and my heart is for you to be living your best life! I am here to do life with you and connect with you and to also connect you with others. I am a part of a powerful community of people who are up to big things in life. These are people who are passionate about people and life, entrepreneurs, business owners…That's you!
