Dirt & Diamonds

Dirt & Diamonds, four high school friends whose paths crossed several years after graduation. Together they formed a band with a new sound fusing elements of Hard Rock, Metal, Grunge, Alternative Rock and Rock’n Roll.
“I’m just excited about this band man. We were all in bands that were not working so we left them and form this one. Its fate that we came together. These guys were always the best musicians I knew. It was just a matter of time before we all got together.”

After their bands dismembered, Claude and Mike got together in December 2005 and began writing songs. They soon found that they had a special creative connection. After etching out three new songs in just one month they decided to get serious about forming Dirt and Diamonds.
“It’s fate that this band came together. I left my old band because we were having problems meshing. I needed that kick in the ass to make a positive change which is what these guy’s did for me, I’m a better singer now because of it. So everything happens for a reason man. This band now, these guys can play, thats why i’m excited. I think this bands untouchable, were all great musicians, so yeah I think we’re f**kin great."

After the addition of Stefano, (Claude’s baby brother and multi-instrumentalist), Tino and Chip, Dirt & Diamonds became a full five-piece band in June 2006. Three weeks later they played their first show.
“Three weeks later we were playing man, we didn’t care, we knew we were good. Three weeks of us jamming and we were tight as hell. So we were like why wait, let’s do it. The Horseshoe Tavern. That show, our first show, we kicked them in the teeth (laughing).”

In March 2007 Chip left the band. With only four members, Dirt and Diamonds found a new and powerful connection. They were feeling and sounding better and forged a new sound that will echo through the ages. Im May 2007 they released their first demo and have been running full tilt ever since.
Only a few years old, these four high school friends have forged something spectacular. Althought it took until late 2006 to solidify this band as whole it was well worth the trials and tribulations that each member went through to get to this point. The persona that Dirt and Diamonds project while on the stage is a welcoming onslaught of high energy, in your face antics that pulls the crowd in and doesn’t let them go.
