About Me
Thank you so much for visiting! Your support and comments are appreciated so very much.
Robert, aged 27 and former hospital worker, became finalist of the hit
ITV show The X-Factor in 2006. After applying for the show along with
100,000 other aspiring artists, we saw Robert get to the last 5 acts.
When Robert was voted off by the judges, he realised it's time to begin his career.
Robert is a genuine artist with the ability to sing and perform and that is
a rarity in today's market. His exit from The X-Factor was a huge shock to
everybody, especially after receiving such good comments from established artists
such as Lionel Richie and Tony Bennett.Robert has sung since the age of 2, and has wanted a career in music since then.
He used to be in a gospel group called The Continentals and another group called Citizen K.
Robert has trained in method acting, had professional dance training and can play clarinet to grade 4.
When asked what a career as a singer would mean to him, he said "I don’t think I could
put it into words! It would mean everything - it could mean I could become a
successful singer and it would be great because I will have achieved my goals and
dreams."
Some of Roberts musical influences are Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross,
Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin. Although he does have eclectic musical tastes
ranging from soul, rock and pop. He said, "Luther Vandross is a musical legend. Mary J Blige
is one of my favourite artists and her single ‘No More Drama’ is one of my favourite singles.
I’d love to perform with her one day."
