I am here for Friends

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator My name is Kazia, I’m not a showgirl. I don’t wear yellow feathers in my hair, or a dress cut down to there. I won’t do the merengue or the cha-cha; but I will ‘cut up the rug’ to a mean bit of 80s fromage. I'm 26 years old, though am quite proud of my god-given ability to act like a 5 year old as and when necessary. I still believe that the toys in a Happy Meal ROCK, and that there’s nothing better than dipping a French fry in chocolate milkshake. I sing, laugh and cry like a girl, often; but can also call upon the Powers of Greyskull (and Polish cultural heritage) and argue like the best of ‘em (especially after one too many Pimms laced with Absinthe and Vodka.) Animal print and anything with a skull (that doesn’t look too menacing), in my eyes, is the height of fashion when featured on a scarf, skirt, or dress… NOT at the same time! I also love to drown my hair in faux flowers or a weird and wonderful headscarf… but I am not a hippy, nor am I a fan of ‘The Good Life’… Oh, and if I could decree a law of the land.. -it would be for everyone to wear flip-flops and a piece of either silver, plastic or ghetto gold jewellery, everyday and forever! I am quite an ‘arty’ person, which basically means that I don’t like to put too much thought in to things, that I sometimes paint on a canvas, scribble down a poem and always have music playing in the background. I enjoy going to the theatre as well as seeing a good ballet. My favourite performances to date include: Cats, The Woman in Black, Little Shop of Horrors and the Sadler’s Wells production of ‘Edward Scissorhands’. I also try and go to as many gigs as I can; but usually have to stand at the back in an attempt to curb the urge to jump on stage, snatch the mic’ and make the show my own… (We all wanna do it… I’m just able to admit to it!) I’ve been lucky enough to see (in concert, not as in ‘have casually bumped in to on the primary teaching circuit’…) the likes of Madonna, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco (who?!), The Bangles (I kid you not..), No Doubt, Jewel, Coldplay, Nelly Furtado, Justin Trousersnake, Lily Allen, Michael Jackson (pre-‘Jesus Juice’), Extreme, Bryan Adams (not sure about being ‘lucky’ there…), er… and others.. I DO know that I’m gonna see Tori again in July and The Police in September, Woo Hoo!! Aside from mainstream stuff, I also try and support B.M.U.O.P.I.K (Bands made up of people I know, duh!)… and other randoms I pick up along the way. I have other strings to my bow.. but most accounts of my experiences thus far end with “..and then I fell over.” I am quite ditzy, occasionally clumsy, I mumble often and don’t pay attention nearly as well as I should. I have a fantastic circle of friends who truly are my second family! I have collected the said bunch at various stages in my life from primary school, through our parents, from secondary school, uni and various work places! I love the fact that even though I have very different friendships with all o' em, they are one happy bunch when we all get together! :o) Apart from the moodiness and only child syndrome, I’d like to think that my heart is in the right place… (or else my circulatory system has a lot to answer for!) Drop by and say ‘Hello’… (I don’t drink tea, so the kettle won’t be on, but I always have biscuits, cake and Polish sausage to share..)

My Interests

falling over, reading autobiographies (try to at least), sketching, singing, cooking & re-heating, printing every photograph I’ve ever taken in black & white (they always look so much better..) painting, wandering round art galleries, listening to my grandma tell me about the escapism she indulges in while she dreams....- She's amazing... I also like to make fun of those less fortunate than myself and indulge drunk Irish men in conversation (potential SugarPappies only..) I love learning key words (i.e. vocabulary that involves the use of 'Your Mum' and 'F**k Off') in different languages and am able to converse in both the Queen's English and Ghetto. (I am also fluent in BS-BSL - Bullsh*t -British Sign Language. To date I can sign Old MacDonald, the alphabet, and I can also give the finger and inform others that the guy peering down my top is infact a Merchant Banker...)
