About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

My Interests

ART (in general), MUSIC, artists, things that are organic, flipping people that drive in florida off (this is a more recent interest), willow trees (don't ask), hangin' out with my friends and saying random crap-or maybe just listening to it, COFFEE, good poetry, all things minty, popples sheets, philosophy, wine, nature, Upland Wheat (a real good beer), stars, mullets, JESUS, PASSION, things Australian, sweet dreams (the smokes), rain (if it's not cold), traveling (when able), dreaming (in general), and thinking about making out. Oh, and I'd like to kiss the person that created TOFUTTI (it's one of the greatest things on the planet).

I'd like to meet:

In general, people who are kick-ass. I already know a lot of them. I continue to get introduced to them. This makes me happy. Also, anyone who has a boat (maybe not just ANYONE), wait...anyone with a boat that I'm allowed on...in the ocean..that's not a psycho...not a paddle boat...a big boat. I think that's all. OK, now that's not all!!! If you're reading this and you don't have anything substantial to say please do not put in a friend request for you will be denied. Substantial: having great meaning or lasting effect....something that is important...so "just lookin' for some fun"or "wanna party?' will NOT qualify!!

Music:

Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Coldplay, Azure Ray, Songs: Ohio, Jeff Buckley, Pete Yorn, David Grey, Ryan Adams, Death Cab, Elliot Smith, Damien Rice, Keane, Jimmy, Shins, Modest Mouse, Benjamin Del Shreve, Sunny Day, Over the Rhine, U2, Joan Jett, old school80's for fun, Iron & Wine, Eisley, Cash, Cursive, Cranberries, Cake, Julianna Theory, Used, Rufus, Darkness, Killers, Franz, Ani DiFranco, Brand New, Fiona, Lisa Loeb, Sarah Brightman, Veruca Salt, Muse, Flemming & John, Sinatra, Billy, Loui, Ella, Etta, Pixies, Beatles, country=vomit (not a band, just an opinion), Incubus, Pedro the Lion, Ravi Shankar, Pretenders, Van Morrison, Beck, Toadies, Scissor Sisters, Regina Spektor, Randall Shreve, Sufjan Stevens, The Cure, Weezer, Joanna Newsome, Emiliana Torrini, Christopher lee Freeman, Firey Furnaces, Postal Service, Bernard... sweet Lord there's so much music and I love it.

Movies:

I enjoy a lot of movies. Different ones on different days, depends on my mood. I suppose that's typical. I really like Pulp Fiction, Amelie, Fight Club, Love Me If You Dare, Eternal Sunshine..., Bridget Jones, Stand By Me, Benny and Joon, Lost Boys, Garden State, Orange County, Finding Neverland, just about any Audrey Hepburn movie. Black and white. I enjoy a lot of "artsy" and foreign movies and sometimes very depressing ones...one movie/documentary that I love now is Born in Brothels. This is about the children of the red light district of Calcutta and how art changed their lives. Go...go rent it and watch it...it's amazing.

Television:

Last time I had cable I was 12.

Books:

Philosophy, funny books about life, poetry, and "The Stinky Cheese Man". Oh, and the Bible. I'm currently reading "Searching For God Knows What" by Donald Miller. Donald Miller should be my friend.

Heroes:

I did have cheesy stuff on here, but I'd have to say the Lord is my ultimate hero...not only for giving me new life, but for giving me the ability to see life--for the colors that surround me--for the little details we take for granted--the simple miracle of a breath or a daydream. He's the ultimate artist. My dad's my hero for trying (and to me, succeeding). Mom's my hero for always telling me to "color outside the lines" so long as I didn't scribble off the page. Both parents for their not-wealth in dollars, but their riches in what matters. And my friends, for being the type of friends I not only love and enjoy, but friends I respect and am both inspired and challenged by. All of the above also for seeing "me"-faults and all-and loving me no less!!
