Born in 1974, London, but of French, Asian and Polish origin, I started playing the guitar when I was thirty. It had been a lifelong wish, since the age of about four, probably initially inspired to play by Catherine Harris (a presenter who played acoustic guitar on a children's television programme in the seventies, not to be confused with that criminal involved in a voting scandal)...
I have a growing repertoire of songs; instrumental songs (ranging from acoustic guitar to string ensembles) and songs with lyrics (English, French as well as improvised language). Musical styles are varied, including, but not limited to: Classical, Folk, French Chansons, African... Lyrical themes mainly include protest issues and children.
In 2004, I started writing and eventually co-wrote "Le Tableau de Nos Rêves" with Thierry Deneux (a French Chanson inspired by and dedicated to the wonderful Jacques Brel). Please CLICK HERE to find out more about Thierry Deneux's beautiful and inspiring music, and to hear his award-winning piece, "La Rivière".
Plans to professionally record "Le Tableau de Nos Rêves" have been postponed, but I hope to record the song some time this year.
I do my own artwork/graphic design. Much of my music is naturally visual and narrative in style, and I have a strong interest in composing music for film (mainly arthouse). As hinted earlier, I enjoy writing children's songs, and indeed, I hope to work with young children, promoting peace and creativity. Talking of film, other creative interests include theater acting.
