Vitor Silveira

The muscial analysis began prematurely when Vitor Silveira danced alone to the rhyhm of his Dad´s 12" . His musical preferences where distinguisable from early on from those of his friends who during that time listened to Badaró” and the extremely well known “Areias o Camelo”. Meanwhile Vitor insisted on listening to Disco and Funk tunes inappropriate for his age. Always interested in the skills of DJs, he lost a fair part of his time on nights out admiring their mixing. In 2005 Vitor began to work in a bar in the suburbs of Lisbon in Odivelas ´Garden Beer Bar´ as a barman and at the end of each night he took the opportunity to constantly practise what he knew on their decks. At the beginning of 2006 a big opportunity arose! Vitor was invited last minute to do his first gig at an after hours slot at the B4 club in Lisbon, he nervously accpeted the task and as it went well he was invited to be a resident DJ from then on. From then on everything began to gain momentum. Within a short space of time he was sharing the spotlight with guest DJs like Bruno Portugal, Mazivo, Lúcio Monteiro, Jacó amongst others. In August of the same year he was invited for monthly sessions in “Politika Lounge” (Bairro Alto),and also for a session in the historical “B.Leza” with Melo D e Lucky, during this time he was the resident DJ every Thursday and Saturday at“B4 Club. He started out outside Lisbon with a Gig in Albufeira in the “Speed Squad Bar” and “Blue House” in Lagos, both in the Algarve and the adventure continues. In November he was invited to do a session at “Keop’s” in the Bairro Alto throughout the whole month as well as maintaining his residency at “Politika Lounge” and also at “B4 Club”. Just this year he win an ediition of “Dj Battles” on Rádio Oxigénio, and exends his skills with Ka§par (on the decks of Frágil), he was also invited to perform once a month at the disco “Trumps” with Dj Miguel Matoz. He Ventured into production at the start of the year created original tunes and was invited to remix a tune from the Danish group, “DAMPFBAHN”, that will be realeased in August. In the beginning of this summer he was also invited to act in "Clube da Esquina", "Liquid" both in Bairro Alto, "Loby" and an unespected gig in "Estado Liquido" ....To be continued..
