About Me
Jesse Solomon has been turning heads and making people listen since 1986, after graduating from Guitar Institute of Technology. Jesse returned home to Colorado, after the sunset strip scene turned sour with it's pay to play doctrine and the image-over-talent wave. He quickly became engulfed in the exciting regional offerings of Colorado. From the slopes of Aspen, through the Denver Rock clubs, into the college town hotspots and the many music festivals throughout the Rocky Mountain region, Jesse was lighting up the stage with his charismatic style, musical textures, and exciting, melodic solos.
Jesse was a founding member of Strapless, a melodic hard rock band, that enjoyed a lot of success as a regional favorite. "Lady Strange", "Something About Her" and "Luck of the Draw" being the most noted songs that enjoyed local and mild national success on stations such as KAZY and Z-Rock. By 1993 all bets were off for that style of music, and Strapless disbanded.
Canebrake Run, a southern rock with street smarts sound, was another band that Jesse formed, with his brother Rob Solomon in 1997. This band hit the ground running, opening for The Fabulous Thunderbirds as it's first gig, then Leon Russell and had a single "Runnin' With The Angels" (studio rough) in regular rotation before the band had finished mixing and manufacturing. Canebrake Run and "Runnin' With The Angels" also were featured on the award winning Garageband.com compilation CD and recieved top honors in the sites Rock category. Even so, a band is only as strong as it's weakest link, and by 2000 it was over.
Jesse has stayed busy playing on, and producing various projects. Most noteable being the Pfeuffer Solomon project "Where Do We Go From Here", featuring Randy Pfeuffer on Vocals and Jesse providing guitar, bass and drums. He can also be heard on the soundtrack to "Shayla Down Under" an Adult film, featuring Shayla LaVeaux. He has also performed as a guest musician with many of the regions top musical talents.
One of Jesse's proudest accomplishments is the creation of his own music school, Academy of Guitar, in 1996. Having over 1000 students pass through, and bringing high caliber musicians, such as Jennifer Batten, Gary Hoey, Alex Degrassi, Kai Eckhardt, Glen Sobel and more, in for clinics has been a rewarding endeavour.
Jesse is currently working on some very intersesting solo music and looking for auditions with signed artists looking for what he can bring to them.
