Elevenyears is a band formed in 2006 from the ashes of Mauvaise,
actually Elevenyears is a rib of Mauvaise itself( it was a five-piece).
The songwriting of the band results in complex songs, so that somebody
has defined the band "progressive", but the main footstep of their music is
alternative rock, even if Elevenyears are quite difficult to categorize because of the innovations that can be found everywhere: the listener is often surprised by the original solutions that could be right behind the corner in every moment of the song.
Fabrizio Sergio and Max playing live capture the attention of people with a powerful and always interesting live show.
In summer 2007 Elevenyears will play in 2 rock festivals, the first in Pavia (Extreme Day 2007) and the second near Roma
(Vudstock 2007 - poggio Moiano (Rieti))
The first self produced ep, "Mind is like thin ice", has been released in May 2007,
and is a journey into several weaknesses of human mind.
They are not generally the main argument of the lyric (except for "things that drive me insane")
but you alays find teferences to them. The songs are wrapped in a theme,
before "things that drive me insane" and after "what kind of a man",
that introduce the listener to a protagonist, Jane. It takes 35 minutes of listening to arrive to the end of the journey
when Jane is wounded to death by her lover.
