About Me

Welcome, welcome lovers! I have made the decision that for as long as I can, I am going to run my own page/bio. These are my dreams, my passions, my life, so please know that I am going to deal with everyone directly as much as possible and enjoy reading while listening to the tunes. Just a little about myself and what is going on. First, thanks for checking out the site! I have two new tracks loaded up and am in the process of writing new tunes along with some suprises that will hopefully work out! To date, I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the best in the business, including: Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard, John Hiatt, Matt Nathanson), Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida (Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson), Marc Swersky (Hilary Duff, Joe Cocker, Natalie Cole), Dana Parish and Andrew Hollander (Fefe Dobson, Clem Snide), Karl Rybacki, Stan Chan, Charlie Midnight (James Brown, Hilary Duff), Buck Johnson (Santana), Cliff Goldmacher, David Rolfe (Rob Dickinson, Ari Hest) and Niv Davidovich. I have also performed at the most famous Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene's Grocery, The Underscore, and The Cutting Room. I have also made appearanes at Bethlehem's Musikfest, right here in my hometown ! Something I would like to point out is that I am involved in writing ALL of my lyrics. I feel that is a huge part of being a "true" artist. Why put your name on an album that isn't YOU? Furthermore, I am dabbling on the piano and guitar now and am very excited to make my first guitar purchase. A hugeee shoutout to BMI, and everyone there that has put in a tremendous amount of work to showcase me, not only once, but twice! There is some killer music out right now, so take the time to discover some of it and turn off your radio! Some of my more favorites vibes are coming from the songs you don't hear over the air. Also, I had the privilege of spending almost two months in Australia, which was filled with insight, and experience beyond belief so expect to hear about some of that in upcoming songs. As always, have all your friends visit my page if you love what you hear because we all know how great it feels to find new music first! Please message me or leave a comment at any and all times. Shows should start up again after the winter is over and my bones are warm again! I'm always up for chatting and I try to keep consistent with responding to messages and comments. So feel free. That's all for now. lovelovelove x alec

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: currently live: matt beck on piano, chris foley on guitar, rober burkhart on cello, and myself on vocals
Influences: i feel the people in my life who inspire me the most are those who i have personally been in contact with, the ones who have just come into my life or that have been there since the beginning of this journey... these people are the ones who disarm me to write whats beneath my surface; musically: to date, my first true musical loves are sarah mclachlan and michelle branch... they turned me on to my unyielding need for music in my life... from then on i was constantly looking for music that everyone else might not find, or follow, or hear on the radio 24/7... which led to me finding fiona apple, holly brook and anna nalick and more recently, missy higgins out in australia and rufus wainwright...
Sounds Like: when marshall altman first listened to my demos, he said that my voice had an "emotional currency." he made me understand what it takes to be a true artist; one has to write from the bottom of their soul. you need to write from where you push aside the issues that are so hard to hide... the issues that make a person the actual being that they have become... the issues that are, in reality, subconscious burdens.. and instead of staring them straight in the face, we force ourselves to believe we're over it.. this is me coming to terms with the way things are and were. this is moving on.
Type of Label: None
