Rivan was founded by Arno Vermeer in 1999. He now is the only remaining founding-member in the band.Rivan makes the kind of music that grabs hold of you and doesn't let go till the end of the show. The music is a mixture of all kinds of influences, from rock to metal. Catchy tunes and strong riffs are an essential part of a Rivan song. Although the band has seen many different faces, the songs still stand with the enthusiastic power from the members. During the existence of Rivan, four albums are recorded. Leon Kerpershoek - drums2006 offered the chance to record the fourth album "Serve my hatred" with Ilja Boon from Umbilical ( www.myspace.com/umbilicalweb ). Rivan also participated in the Emergenza festival in Amsterdam.Rivan has split up and all the members have moved on to a new band. Arno is currently involved with Soildust, Ruud has lend his services to Charger and Leon is busy with a couple of bands.
