Sublime!

About Me

Hi I'm a visual artist who used to live and work in Porthmadog in beautiful North West Wales. However things have changed and I am now lucky enough to live in Snowdonia beneath the shadow of Cnicht (Snowdonia's 'Matterhorn')in a small village called Croesor. I used to run a shop/gallery in Porthmadog where I spent most of my life drinking cups of tea, creating art and jewellery and talking to the many lovely people who liked to hang around. However as visitors to the town were becoming increasingly rare,( & those spending money on beads, art, jewellery etc, even rarer) we have now located to the lovely village of Llanfrothen where we've just taken over small gallery and soon to be tearoom a few doors down from the Brondanw Arms pub. I'm now cultivating an aura of sublime happiness, helped by the fine beer at the aforementioned pub...ooh and mountains, peace and quiet etc. I am married to Tim, English teacher and Picture framer extraordinaire and have two beautiful children, one of whom is a teenager but is slowly coming out of it, the other is smaller and slightly more friendly (tho bites when provoked) and is fluent in both Welsh and English. My ambition is to have fun and laugh lots. My mid-life crisis is coming along very well and is helped by a small, very hairy, grey cat called Max who has a plastic bag habit (though I do try and keep him away from Tesco bags as a matter of principal) and the new addition to our feline menagerie Georgie Boosh a lover of leaf chasing and bouncing up mountains!. My favourite view is looking down Cwm Croesor from the quarry track behind our house. Ooh and I musn't forget the lovely Duncan (see my friends) who has acknowledged his contribution to the loss of my marbles(see below) I keep finding them but still one of the little buggers keeps rolling off. Duncan is the Gallery's semi-resident hippie and is a rising star in the artistic community.....

Ghost Town

Porthmadog bears a passing resemblance to a ghost town today but one that is haunted by wet, miserable people instead of really scary ghouls. It's dead...deceased..no more and guess what...it's rainin...
