ABOUT THE BAND
The E-Go’s are a Brit Pop band for the 21st century, who are undoubtedly the most exhilarating and creative group to emerge from The Black Country in decades.
The E-Go’s have been together for just over a year playing to packed out venues across the West Midlands region. The bands memorable riffs, commanding drum beats and down to earth lyrics about their lives in modern society can be related to by their widespread audience. Live, their sound is projected with an almost arrogance and swagger which is both attention grabbing and admirable. Their sound echoes the various influences of the band in a distinctive way, these include Oasis, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines.
In August 2008, the lads landed a slot supporting ‘The Young Knives’ at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton. This gig was a product of impressing the Wolverhampton Civic Hall promoters over two headline support dates at the Little Civic also in Wolverhampton. At both gigs The E-Go’s supported recognised artists, The Days- Atlantic Records and The Underground Heroes- 1965 Records and Loog Records. Despite the hype surrounding the bands, The E-Go’s easily outsold both headline acts, selling more tickets than any local support band in the history of the venue on both occasions.
The show with ‘The Young Knives’ was greatly received by both the crowd and promoters as The E-Go’s again outsold the other bands on the bill and played to a packed out audience of above 700 people.
The E-Go’s fantastic personality is reflected in both their music and on stage performance. After playing on BBC Radio WM’s ‘Introducing Show’, DJ Brett Birks commented that they had ‘broke the text machine’ due to their vast support. The ‘E-Go Army’, the name given to many of the bands supporters, are something The E-Go’s take a great pride in and their large support is noticeably appreciated by both promoters and other bands.
In the months to come The E-Go’s have been invited to play The Wulfrun Hall again as headline support for fellow local band The Lines - 20/12/08. This gig is likely to sell out and The E-Go’s hope to make a statement of intent with a great show that will showcase the talent of the Black Country music scene. In November 2008 The E-Go’s also played their first gig in London at Hope & Anchor, Islington for Bugbear Promotions. Which was a fantastic day for both the band and supporters who travelled to the captial to see them.
The turn of the New Year brings The E-Go’s back into the studio to record four new tracks and their own headline gig at The Little Civic – 21/02/09.

THE REVIEWS
"...Flying the flag for the Black Country in true kick-arse style - The E-Go's... subversive and quietly confident big attitude rock with a hint of old Stuffies and nu-punk coolness thrown into this sexy but modest five-piece collective... keep your eye on these... they have a whiff of something bigger to come."
- DJ KATY JAY, 101.8 WCRfm
"Their brand of late 60's garage rock, had all the hallmarks of hip-ness & showed real promise.... and with the massive crowd of supporters they brought with them, they will never be without friends"
- PETER STANLEY, BBC.CO.UK
"There's some well thought out hooky guitar motifs here, a bit reminiscent of the late great Magazine/Banshee/PIL man John McGeogh in places... A Brit rocking swagger of an outfit!"
