My Band´s Myspace page :My band´s Official Homepage :I was born in may 14 of 1972, in Santiago de Chile were I spend my life until I was 11, living in the quite area of San Bernardo, a bit south of central Santiago. Due to polical reasons my family relocated to Stockholm Sweden, were I lived for more than 20 years. My dad taught my how to play the guitar and it got to be something that I´ll do until the day I die.In Sweden I got totally into metal and had the pleasure of playing with some cool guys and great musicians. Nowadays I live in Hamburg Germany to play with my band Undercroft. The beginning of my road into the metal domain began one day in 1991 when I and guitarist Marcelo Salazar (HOSTILE REACTION) met and decided to play some seriously heavy and brutal music. Influenced by all types of metal both european and american, we decided to put together a band.Later, fate brought them together with drummer Mikael Grip and singer Masse Broberg (Magus Caligula - DARK FUNERAL), these two had a band called DARK DECAY, without much success and were looking for new musicians, out of the cooperation came an outfit named VOTARY. This formation recorded an untitled, never released demo, later Masse left to join HYPOCRISY. In came Niko Karalis to handle the mic and Max Collin took over the bass. Before the new demo was recorded Marcelo left the band and in came Tore Öyen (HOSTILE REACTION) to handle the 2nd guitar. This formation recorded and released a demo called, “Aimless life”. Max Collin took over the singing part as Niko departed, the line-up recorded a 3rd, never released demo and saw the band continuing in different formations until it disappeared.Max and Etienne were to join the famous underground band of Swedish death metal LOBOTOMY. As a 5- piece LOBOTOMY recorded one single 7” “Hymn”, and the CD´s : “Lobotomy” 1995, “Kill” 1997, “Born in hell” 2000 and “Holy shit” 2001. Oblivious to the fact that LOBOTOMY did ok, the band ended up in the graveyard, mostly due to lack of interest and no support from the record label. My old band mates are putting together another project, coming soon.....2002 Etienne met the guys of the Chilean outfit UNDERCROFT and decided that on their trip back from Chile, he would join them. A fact that´s now history and in this collaboration was part of the re-release of the "Evilusion" album of 2004, the Live CD "Bastard Live Hamburg" and the newly released CD “Lethally Growing”.2006 sees the band after the line-up change, where we got a new singer, facing the future stronger than ever, the unity turned into a fist.
