About Me

I am fascinated with the problem of addressing individual responsibility for national deeds. In what sense can individuals experience responsibility for the actions of their nation? Is it even possible to experience moral responsibility for “bad” national acts? Can the nation reconcile with direct responsibility for atrocities? These questions have since guided my work, contributing to my view of empirical cases and influencing my research in the Middle East.

Since returning from a four month stint with the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights in the Gaza Strip, I write extensively on my website and have published in various online and print media.

Some samples:

Electronic Intifada, The Gaza Strip: Disengagement Two Years On, Nov. 24, 2007

The Palestine Chronicle, "Welcome To Gaza!", Oct. 31, 2007
