Female Profile Sound (FPS)is one of England’s best new All Female Sounds /DJs, following in the steps of London’s finest female djs Feminine Touch and Lady SP in the world of Soca music.
Miss Sexxy Dee and Mz Tiny Winey are cousins, both born in London, England in 1979, shared the same passion for music.
Female Profile Sound was first introduced to the art of music at a very young age where they both played the Steel Pan for ‘Pantonic Steel Orchestra’ and also Tiny winey having a great Reggae legend as her father. Sexxy Dee has played a number of instruments, Piano, Clarinet and the Steel Pans, she has also studied a BA Music Management degree at university.
FPS first started playing at small functions and private parties having a wide variety of music. Rnb-Reggae-Soca-Hip-Hop-Pop…
In 2003 Miss Sexxy Dee and Mz Tiny Winey got really serious in djing and this is when the name FEMALE PROFILE SOUND evolved.
In 2005 Dee and Tiny attended a DJ workshop/course and in early 2006 they were given the opportunity to present a show on a local community radio station Lynx 87.6. Exposing themselves and building up the confidence FPS started competing in a friendly island competition called SOCA SPLASH represting ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES…always coming in the top 4 but never quite made it to 1st place until April 2007.This was their first step in the world of SOCA music. Building on their listenership, in July 2007 FPS was given another show to present, they called it THE REGGAE REQUEST SHOW, being so popular with listeners in the UK and around the world they were later awarded with the best Reggae Show on Lynx FM in December 2006. Then to follow on in SVG for 30 years of Carnival in July 2007 playing at numerous fetes around the carnival season, during this period Miss Pretty Naughty joined FPS.
With the lack of female dj's in the UK Female Profile Sound aim has always been to entertain and to promote ST Vincent and the Grenadines.
