About Me

Hi, and thanks for visiting my space at my space. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Since 1993, I, Dan K., The Juggler With The Yellow Shoes, have been performing full-time in schools across the country. I combine dynamic public speaking with amazing physical entertainment for the ultimate in educational fun! I'd love to perform at your school!

I recently gained Brain Gym knowledge and studied how to teach kids with dyslexia. I lead special movement workshops that enhance reading skills. Plus I enjoy teaching juggling to all grade levels. Juggling has scientifically been proven to increase the gray matter in the brain. (That's a good thing!)

Along with private, semi-private, and group workshops, I enjoy entertaining with these educational themes: Say No To Drugs, Reading Is GRAND, The P.E. Juggling Show, Science Fun!, STOP Bullying, Just For Fun, and Family Night.

My Interests

I enjoy spending time with my wife, Susan, step sons, Jesse and Logan and daughter, Kathryn. The rest of my family is pretty cool too. I like fishing, playing piano, martial arts, eating Hostess Cupcakes, performing, laughing, speaking, running, jumping, rolling, thinking, dancing, riding, and making silly noises. Go ahead, ask my wife about the silly noises.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus!, Will Smith, Bill Murray, Mr. Incredible, Nemo, other professional jugglers and comedians, Jim Carrey, Barlow Girl, Chris Rice, George Bush, people who like fishing and anyone who likes to laugh!

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Music:

I started taking piano lessons when I was in my early thirties. I had my first lesson in 1998 and I'm doing it again this school year. Unlike most sports, I am not a natural at playing the piano. So chances are you won't hear me play unless you beg.
I enjoy listening to Christian rock music. Q90FM, 90.1 out of Green Bay, WI plays some really good stuff. My favorite band this year is Barlow Girl. Man they got some great stuff. Hawk Nelson is fun. Plus I like Switchfoot, Chris Rice, Kutless, Skillet, Sanctus Real, FM Static, Reliant K and many other Christian rockers.

Movies:

I've only been in one movie. It was a really fun experience, however, I wish the movie wouldn't have been so tasteless. Anyway, I played a waiter in a restaurant scene. I didn't have any lines. I dream of having a speaking role in a major motion picture. I know I have some great comic skills.

My all time favorite movie is "The Princess Bride". I watch it a few times each year. My favorite Christmas time movie is "Elf". I have to see that one with my daughter every Christmas.

Television:

TV? Yeah, we have one of those. Okay, we have 5 of 'em. I appeared nationally on the Food Network, juggling cheese curds to open and close the show. I should have had a shirt on that listed my website as they didn't tell my name or anything about me. It was fun though. Cheese curds are yummy.

TV just isn't that exciting to watch. I do enjoy watching CSI with Susan. Football is fun. I'd rather play video games. Oh, yeah, House is entertaining. Funniest Home Videos makes me laugh sometimes. The History channel and the Discovery channel have some cool stuff.

Books:

I haven't written a book yet but I'm planning on it. Check the archives and dig out my story in Guideposts magazine from March of 1994. I was featured on the cover even though I didn't deserve it. What a great blessing it was. With 3.5 million subscribers, I was contacted by many folks. I got over 400 letters from all over the world. It was really cool.

Reading is wonderful! I'd have to say "Guideposts" is my favorite magazine. Nothing like true stories with life changing results. I read it cover to cover every month.

Heroes:

God and people who help others who want nothing in return.
